Historia
When Lauren returns home to her flat in London late one night, she is greeted at the door by her husband, Michael. There’s only one problem—she’s not married. She’s never seen this man before in her life. But according to her friends, her much-improved decor, and the photos on her phone, they’ve been together for years.

Clever think piece. Fantastic Narrator.

This book pulled me in immediately. There were times it was frustrating but that was ultimately forgivable. I'm looking forward to having someone to deep dive this with because the satire on social parallels and the current state of dating / relationships are dive worthy. It's funny, sad, suspensful and so relatable at times that I can't help being left feeling like I need a lot of self-reflection. The Narrator is Fantastic.

Funny as heck AND a deep think!
Revisado: 09-25-22
Like the author, I wasn't picking up what Dale was putting down so I expected a rompy Carnegie roast but was pleasantly surprised at the path Cooper took me down. I found Cooper's raw honesty touching and even a little alarming. I don't know if I could open myself up to that kind of scrutiny because I definitely did some judging...until I didn't. The magic, here, is that I came out of this with fresh perspective, loads of grace to hand out and a desire to examine relationships and my role in maintaining them.
