Historia
They say you can never go home again, and for Persephone Fraser, ever since she made the biggest mistake of her life a decade ago, that has felt too true. Instead of glittering summers on the lakeshore of her childhood, she spends them in a stylish apartment in the city, going out with friends, and keeping everyone a safe distance from her heart. Until she receives the call that sends her racing back to Barry’s Bay and into the orbit of Sam Florek—the man she never thought she’d have to live without.

Good

I can’t remember if this was her first or second book. That’s really all I need to say. They are basically the same story. She needd some new material.

Historia
Fern Brookbanks has wasted far too much of her adult life thinking about Will Baxter. She spent just twenty-four hours in her early twenties with the aggravatingly attractive, idealistic artist, a chance encounter that spiraled into a daylong adventure in the city. The timing was wrong, but their connection was undeniable: they shared every secret, every dream, and made a pact to meet one year later. Fern showed up. Will didn’t.

Pretty good
Revisado: 08-08-23
Unfortunately, this author’s books, the two that she’s written, a relative to leave the same story. She needs to come up with some new material. They were both good, but like OK we’re done with the long lost loves coming back. Come up with something unique!

This was great. I thought you did a really good job of explaining the actual story because right the movie left a lot of this out.

Be Fair
Revisado: 03-26-23
You seem to be a fan of only telling one side of the story. Obviously, Sydney and Tammy are evil, but Heather was hardly innocent here. She was old enough to know better. Also, you really have no proof that Heather wasn’t harassing them as well yet you make it sound like they were the only ones. Be fair!

So, when exactly is it OK to victim blame Kendall?
Revisado: 03-25-23
This podcaster forms opinions on a lot of her topics. But then she tells us not to. Savannah was a mother of four by the age of 22, with different fathers, yes, she made bad choices Kendall. Not saying she deserved to die by any means, why are you allowed to blame and form options but the rest of us are not?

Hypocritical
Revisado: 03-25-23
Kendal continuously lectures the rest of us in her podcasts about not judging, not victim blaming and forming opinions, yet she does the exact thing throughout every single podcast. She has a right to I guess, because it’s her podcast, but then own it and don’t tell the rest of us not to do it. For example, she constantly blames the police for not doing their job, oh because you heard it from so and so Kendal?? Also, she’ll be talking about someone that was obviously trash in their life but she tells us not to judge them. She seems to want to stick up for the people that make bad choices and then it get them in bad situations. It’s their own fault. This review applies to many of her podcasts, not necessarily just this one, but in general, she does these things.

Narration ruined the story
Revisado: 03-16-23
I couldn’t make it past chapter 4. The narration was so horrible. They definitely should’ve use a professional narrator. Did Jan insist on narrating her own story? Because of that if you read the reviews, so many people just couldn’t stand the story. It’s too bad because it was a great story, sad and true,

I never give 5 STARS!
Revisado: 12-28-22
I stumbled upon this author and cannot believe I’ve given 5 stars to both books I’ve listed to! What is great about the Karen Cole books is you don’t have to read them in order. They aren’t related. Keeps you guessing literally until the very end. Audible only has 4 of her 5 books though.
