I've tried over and over to get involved
Revisado: 09-18-10
I tried to get involved in this book but I just don't care about the people. They're boring to me. Also I like more light hearted books. I’m not into book that have curse language and incidents of rape. This book must be for some but not me.

Historia
The idyll of Blandings Castle is about to be disturbed, for the Hon. Freddie Threepwood is poised to make his debut as a jewel thief. Freddie, however, is not alone: Blandings is simply brimming with criminals and impostors all intent on stealing Aunt Constance's 20,000 pound diamond necklace. It is left to the debonair Psmith, with his usual aplomb, to unscramble the passion, problems, and identities, of one and all.

I really enjoyed listening to this book
Revisado: 07-12-10
If you like other Wodehouse books or books similar to Charlie's Aunt or the Importance of Being Ernest then you will probably like this. Light hearted and fun even though you know how it is going to end.

Historia
While Galileo was suffering under house arrest at the hands of Pope Urban VIII, the 30 Years War was ruining Europe, and the Pilgrims were struggling to survive in the New World, work began on what would become one of the Seven Wonders of the World: the Taj Mahal. Built by the Moghul emperor Shah Jahan as a memorial to his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, its flawless symmetry and gleaming presence have for centuries dazzled all who have seen it.

I liked the voice of the reader but not the book
Revisado: 04-14-10
I was looking for a few books to listen to on the flight to India. I picked this book and one called Snakes and Ladders. I didn't really enjoy this book. Actually, I didn't finish listening to it because every time it put me to sleep, I really liked the voice of the reader. If you're into History (or if you're into to numerous dates and names) and want to learn about this time period it might be for you. If your going to India and want a little history about the Taj Mahal then look else where.

Historia
A series of engrossing sketches reveals an India that may be surprising to many Westerners. Instead of a single country, the listener will discover, India is a nation of several civilizations in different states of development. The author covers the country from its ancient cultures to her encounters with the film directors and poets and the complicated machination of the world's largest democracy.

I enjoyed the book on the flight to India
Revisado: 04-14-10
I was searching for a few books to listen to on the way to India. I really enjoyed this book. It's not so much a history book, it's more about a person telling about her views and experiences on growing up in India. I highly recommend the book for anyone traveling to India. I wouldn't have listened to it if I hadn't gone there. If your not planning on going to India then I wouldn't recommend it.

I'm a Halo fan and I liked listening to this story
Revisado: 03-18-10
I've played the Halo games on Xbox360. I was told this book tells about the story before the 1st Halo game. I'm not sure how non-Halo fans would like this because without playing the game I wouldn't have felt attached to the people in the story. There's no reason to really care about them. But as a Halo fan I liked learning about the pre-game experience and how everything began, including why I wear a large green armor.

Historia
One of the most famous and influential books of its (or any) time, The Origin of Species is, surprisingly, little read. True enough, most people know what it says, or think they do, at any rate. The first comprehensive statement of the theory of natural selection, it does, indeed, provide the basic argument and demonstration of what we think of as Darwinism.
