This book is hilarious! I had such empathy for the main character trying to make contact with the man she loved even though she never met him. Kudos for taking a risk! My only complaint is that the author describes California’s ocean as being “crystal clear” (it’s actually brown), and warm soothing water (once you turn blue and numb from the cold, you don’t mind it)! Other than not knowing enough information about California’s ocean, I loved this book!

The faith shaming and untrue statement “ Praying and believing in God’s healing” would cure it is absolutely untrue. I am a Christian and even I felt like the book should have contained information and proper diet. Shaming people into believing they didn’t “have enough faith” is not the way to teach.
