Historia
From world-renowned historian and philosopher Yuval Noah Harari, the bestselling author of Sapiens, comes the second volume in the bestselling Unstoppable Us series that traces human development from the Agricultural Revolution to Prehistoric Egypt. Humans may have taken over the world, but what happened next? How did our hunter-gatherer ancestors become village farmers? Why were kingdoms and laws established? How did we go from being the rulers of Earth to the rulers of each other?

Historia
Outside Los Angeles, a driver pulls up to find a young woman sitting on a large black box. She offers him $200,000 cash to transport her and that box across the country, to Washington, DC. But there are rules: He cannot look inside the box. He cannot ask questions. He cannot tell anyone. They must leave immediately. He must leave all trackable devices behind. As these eccentric misfits hit the road, rumors spread on social media that the box is part of a carefully orchestrated terror attack intended to plunge the USA into civil war.

Historia
B. Rosenberger Rosenberg, neurotic and underappreciated film critic (failed academic, filmmaker, paramour, shoe salesman who sleeps in a sock drawer), stumbles upon a hitherto unseen film by an enigmatic outsider - a film he’s convinced will change his career trajectory and rock the world of cinema to its core. His hands on what is possibly the greatest movie ever made, a three-month-long stop-motion masterpiece that took its reclusive auteur 90 years to complete, B. knows that it is his mission to show it to the rest of humanity. The only problem: The film is destroyed.

I’m done with this book! I have no idea what just happened and have no idea how to describe the book. Truly a work of art and I’m very, very happy to have experienced it. I think I’ll start it again soon… maybe 7 times…

The Journeyman Electrician Exam might be complex, but studying doesn’t have to be. Don’t go into your exam empty-handed or unprepared. On average, people study for three to six months before they finally go on to take their test. That studying, if you don’t have the right list of what you need to know, may be useless and wasted. In order to avoid this predicament, use this study guide to begin learning the ins and outs of the most crucial aspects that you are likely to be tested on.

This is totally AI in my opinion
Revisado: 10-30-23
First, I doubt either the author or narrator are human. If they are, they have issues. The general content extends to what I learned in 1st year apprentice class. Second, the narrator translates “sec” (as in section) as “sex” at one point… it is a comedy of errors and an epic waste of time.

Historia
Demographic trends—longer lifespans and declining birthrates—mean that this popular program now pays more in benefits than it collects in revenue. Without reforms, eighty-three million Americans will face an immediate benefit cut of twenty percent in 2034. How did we get here and what is the solution? In Fixing Social Security, R. Douglas Arnold explores the historical role that Social Security has played in American politics, why Congress has done nothing to fix its insolvency problem for three decades, and what legislators can do to save it.

Profoundly important reading
Revisado: 03-24-23
This is a book that I can’t help listening to again and again. If I could force politicians to read one book, this might be it. It is written in a style that leaves no doubt that their is no bias or agenda other that informing the reader of the need for responsible action by everyone.

Can’t Hurt Me, David Goggins’ smash hit memoir, demonstrated how much untapped ability we all have but was merely an introduction to the power of the mind. In Never Finished, Goggins takes you inside his Mental Lab, where he developed the philosophy, psychology, and strategies that enabled him to learn that what he thought was his limit was only his beginning and that the quest for greatness is unending.

Soapbox for Feminism
Revisado: 01-14-22
It was an ok book, but the regular insertion of feminist grievances against… wait for it… men… was very irritating. The one take away from the book is that women are the victims and men are the oppressors. You’ll get that message over and over.
If that’s the kind of book you are looking for, this is the one.

Revisado: 01-28-20
I almost skipped this book due to the “just finish” wording that seemed to dominate the descriptions. I found that this book is perfect for runners of all levels and delves deeply into the discipline and physiology needed for success. Great resource.
