Historia
In 2009, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band performed at the Super Bowl's halftime show. The experience was so exhilarating that Bruce decided to write about it. That's how this extraordinary autobiography began. Over the past seven years, Bruce Springsteen has privately devoted himself to writing the story of his life, bringing to this audio the same honesty, humor, and originality found in his songs.

Written like lyrics
Revisado: 03-10-17
I enjoyed seeing into the head of Bruce Springsteen and learning more about what makes him tick and where his songs come from. But what really held me was his lyrical approach to writing. I felt like I was listening to an 18 hour song. Very entertaining.

Historia
A bold-spirited dog named Buck is stripped from his comfortable life on a California estate and thrust into the rugged terrain of the Klondike. There he is made a sled dog and battles to become his team's leader and the devoted servant of John Thornton, a man who shows him kindness amid the savage lawlessness of man and beast.

So much better when not required middle school reading
Revisado: 12-26-16
I really enjoyed listening to this performance, which hardly resembled the book I was required to read 25 years ago in school. Perhaps it was helped with John Lee's silky smooth but bold performance of Jack London's words, but I was mesmerized and listened to the entire book in one sitting.
I originally picked this book as a short novel to listen to on a road trip of similar length. But I was rewarded with a fantastic story of raw nature that isn't touched by today's storybook simplicity found in books and movies such as the Revenant. Hard and pure, this rekindled my faith that humans can both appreciate and respect nature's power.
