Historia
America has been the world leader in generating new mental health treatments and modern theories of the human psyche. We export our psychopharmaceuticals packaged with the certainty that our biomedical knowledge will relieve the suffering and stigma of mental illness. We categorize disorders, thereby defining mental illness and health, and then parade these seemingly scientific certainties in front of the world.

Historia
Fat Girl Walking is a collection of stories from my life, my thoughts about the issues that I have faced as a woman, wife, mom, daughter, daughter-in-law, and Internet personality in regards to my weight. I have tried to be as honest as I possibly could - apologies in advance to my husband and parents, but hopefully any discomfort you feel is quickly replaced by laughter.

Historia
The former middle-distance Olympic runner and high-end escort speaks out for the first time about her battle with mental illness and how mania controlled and compelled her in competition but also in life. This is a heartbreakingly honest yet hopeful memoir reminiscent of Manic, Electroboy, and An Unquiet Mind.

Not bad
Revisado: 10-29-16
The beginning half of the book wasn't at all what I thought it would be. It took a lot to convince myself to continue reading. the second half of the book sped up and switched gears and then it became hard to put down! Overall a pretty good read, not my favorite but not bad at all.

Historia
Audie Award, Humor, 2016. In Furiously Happy, number-one New York Times best-selling author Jenny Lawson explores her lifelong battle with mental illness. A hysterical, ridiculous book about crippling depression and anxiety? That sounds like a terrible idea. But terrible ideas are what Jenny does best.

A refreshing, relatable, breath of fresh air
Revisado: 07-03-16
LOVED this book! It's serious and dark but hilarious and light hearted. If you have anxiety and or depression you can relate to it easily. It's quirky and fun and down to earth. It's honest, fresh and exactly what it should be. Loved it!! Officially a HUGE Jenny Lawson fan!!
