I related to Demi’s stories and the truths she uncovered in the process. Although I can’t relate to being Miss Universe, I can relate to putting my identity in things that don’t last. I loved the story of how she and Tim Tebow met because he wanted her disabled sister to be celebrated at A Night to Shine. God moments. Bringing two people together because of the love for the disabled. As a mom of a disabled son, I appreciate the unconditional love Demi’s family had for her sister and the connection to blessing people all over the world who are marginalized. Thank you for writing your story. It has impacted my heart and helped me understand my identity. Blessings on this book.

The story was real and the characters developed well. I could see this playing out in the entertainment world today.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. So many parts hit home. I love the story of the Beck and Bruno and Everly and Don. Parallel love stories that cross paths. A fun way to end the summer.

I found myself feeling like I was reading my own journal as I listened to the stories and advice in this book. I’m in the middle of my own story of abuse and this book has been so helpful. Great resources listed. I have read most of them in my journey. I will recommend this to many women who need to know they are not alone.

Don,

Thank you for writing a book sharing the struggle with true Christian Spirituality. I read this after reading A Million Miles and Scary Close. It was a great journey backwards to where you started. Thank you for the vulnerability you share in your writing. I listened at the perfect time for what’s going on in my life. Highly recommended!

If there is no vision, the people perish. Craig Groeschel has revealed a way to find the vision of God's purpose for our lives. Where core values, spiritual gifts, and passion intersect, one can find the sweet spot if Chazown.

The online tools help to identify these parts of the puzzle. I found this an encouraging and motivating book. Our home group is working through it together. I can't wait to see what each person finds for their life purpose.

Uninvited invites us to Live Loved

This is an excellent book that challenges the reader to live knowing that even in the storms of life, we are loved by our creator in an everlasting way.

Too often when painful events happen, our focus turns to the pain instead of the Healer. This was a great reminder that we have the ability to choose to remind ourselves that God already sees and knows how to mend our broken hearts.

Rejection is a big theme in this book. We have all experiences rejection. Whether from a parent, friends, bosses, co-workers, a spouse, a sibling or others we have relationship with, rejection happens. Knowing those past rejections may be triggered in current situations when that rejection pain surfaces can make us aware to revise our perspective.

How to do that? Lysa TerKeurst gives plenty of ways to combat that feeling of rejection which can make us think we are not enough.

I have the corresponding study guide and have enjoyed the challenge to reframe our situations by reminding our wounded soul that God sees and knows and will be there in the storm.

This one is a keeper to be read several times because rejection comes at us from all directions and we want to learn how to live loved, because God loves us more than we will ever know.

Thank you Lysa. #Uninvited

You can be the comeback kid

Louie Giglio does a fabulous job of bringing stories to life to help us know that we can be a come back kid.

He draws real life stories and parallels them to Biblical truths of how individuals can come back from tragedy, illness, generational bondage, betrayal and our own self destructive behaviors. Because Jesus is alive.

Jesus is the ultimate comeback kid who defeated death. And because he loves me, he will help me come back too.

I love listening to this book and will likely read the print copy so I can take notes for future reference.

Great book and recommended for that person in your life who could use a bit of hope and a vision of their comeback story.
