Very interesting story line.

Enjoyed this book. The reader was smooth and held my interest. At first I thought the main character was a little stiff but as the story grew I found out why. I was brought into her story and found as her transition and humanity grew the story blossomed. Waiting for the next chapter in the Given series to hit Audible. In the meantime I'll just have to get the book. Pinocchio.

Historia
As a devastating hurricane approaches, as the benighted creations of Victor Helios begin to spin out of control, as New Orleans descends into chaos and the future of humanity hangs in the balance, the only hope rests with Victor's first, failed attempt to build the perfect human. Deucalion's centuries-old history began as the original manifestation of a soulless vision and it is fated to end in the ultimate confrontation between a damned creature and his mad creator.

My anticipation may have colored my review

Not up to the last two Frankenstein novels but a definite must listen. A wonderful threequel and a great story. A little weaker than one or two but still a great story.

Burke's Black Cherry Blues is a great listen
Revisado: 02-01-09
James Lee Burke weaves a story that is great for the ears. I really enjoy his style and vocabulary. It is like listening to a cajun Faulkner. His story lines may not be for everyone but he has a knack at painting pictures in your mind with his words. The setting is from Dave's earlier life.

Getting back to Cross
Revisado: 02-01-09
Not up to early Alex but a good return to the Cross character and a story line that makes you want to get back to listening. A good ear read.
