The House Witch 3 had its charming moments, but overall, the pacing felt off—some parts dragged while others rushed through important developments. Honestly, Kraken the cat stole the show and probably deserved to be the main character. Matthew Wolf’s narration was excellent and really helped carry the story. Not sure if I’ll pick up another Delemach book after this one as this took me a month to get through. Great to fall asleep to though.

A Kiss of Iron was an absolute gem that surprised and enchanted me from start to finish. The romance was so well-crafted: slow-burn, full of tension, and deeply emotional. I fell completely for Bastian; he’s brooding, intense, and layered in a way that makes you want to peel him open like a mystery. Total book boyfriend material.

And the saber cats? I adored them: fierce, loyal, and full of personality. They added so much warmth and charm to the darker undertones of the story. Who wouldn't want a saber cat as a mount.

What really hit me was the ending. I was not prepared. It left me in emotional shambles in the best way possible. Desperate for answers, needing more, and already imagining how things could play out. Clare Sagar knows how to wreck you with grace.

If you love sharp romantic tension, unforgettable characters, and a story that grips your heart, this one’s a must-read.

A Mesmerizing Start to a Unique Fantasy Series

Raven Kennedy’s Gild is an enthralling, dark, and beautifully written retelling that reimagines the story of King Midas in a way that’s both haunting and irresistible. From the very first page, I was captivated by Kennedy’s lyrical prose and the immersive world she crafts—a realm of gilded cages, secrets, and power plays.

Auren, the protagonist, is both fragile and strong, a character whose journey of self-discovery is deeply compelling. Trapped in a life of golden luxury, she begins to question everything she once believed. The story is equal parts heartbreaking and empowering, weaving themes of control, freedom, and resilience with an addictive, slow-burning tension.

The romance, intrigue, and dark undertones make this book impossible to put down. Kennedy’s writing is poetic yet raw, drawing readers into a world that feels both enchanting and terrifying. If you love fantasy with deep emotions, complex characters, and a touch of darkness, Gild is a must-read.

This book has like 30% plot, 70% smut so if you like reverse harem and alot of smut. this book is for you. I literally skipped a lot of chapters just to get to the end ofthe story (because it was all horny 20 year olds)

Good little short story. Interested in listening to the other short stories in the series if they are free.

typical Broadbent book. Left some to be deserved. Betrayal is a huge theme in this book and that spoke to me. Had 5 star moments but overal lacked consistency in pacing, plot and writing.

Wowza. Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Worldbuilding was great. Characters were engaging and Carrion is a great comic relief. Kingfisher is my shadow daddy. Love Saeris as a swordmaker. Battle descriptions were great with interesting use of magic.
