Great interaction between Clyde and Montana
Revisado: 08-30-24
I don’t even know how many books were all just brought together by this one book in both the good guy and the bad guy series.
I am very intrigued to see if and how the grim brothers might join up with Montana and Clyde, and if they will be working together or opposed to each other in the future ???
The author has done a great job of systematically bringing it all to fruition and that is something most authors fail at. I continue to enjoy the plot twists.
I have read many lit RPG‘s and I’m now thinking of myself as a connoisseur, and it is nice to see a clever author add to the genre.

Historia
Just yesterday, Ben was a petty criminal getting by on fleecing New York’s one-percenters. Today, he's got a new face, a new name, and a new world to navigate. And Ben’s thinking maybe this time around, he’ll use his skills at disarming and deceiving to help out people other than himself. Maybe. Watching a medieval City Guard fight off a 20-foot-tall ooze that crawled up from the sewers will make you think twice about life decisions.

Clever, intriguing , and original
Revisado: 01-27-24
Clever storyline, original setting of main character though I kept thinking of the white collar tv show, I don’t know what is going to happen next and that is unusual for this genre. Not a bunch of random killings for experience points and the main character is not just a script sheet of stats. The story takes priority, not a bunch of number crunching filler. The characters are awesome and unique. Real people! In short it is a great addition to the genre and stands up well with fans of Aleron Kong and Hugo Huesca.
Enjoy

Humorous and Emotional and lots of minion leveling
Revisado: 12-02-23
Thought provoking and lots of puns and dry witt. Seldom have I thought of trees and plants as being contributors to a global conflict and the way trees might think of humans. It explores a different perspective and makes me want to go garden for the adventure of it.

A breath of fresh air. So original, old school meets new age
Revisado: 07-03-23
I was a little skeptical of the voice of the main character at first, but after I got used to the idea that he is supposed to be very bear like I accepted it and moved on.
I truly enjoy the originality the author put into writing a unique character in a setting, where all the normal clichés of lit RPG‘s were mostly tackled.
I am a big fan of animals and pets, and I felt like the dialogue between cats and dogs, and the other animals were well done and in most cases humorously.
I also know lots of people who get along with their animals a whole lot better than they could ever be expected to with another human being.
The story may not be perfect in its writing, but it gets an A+ for originality and entertainment.
I also learned a little bit about opinions that originated from outside the United States, and that was very thought-provoking.
Like I said, the book is worth a read.

Thought on story flow
Revisado: 04-16-21
Possible spoiler:
I enjoy the story in the imaginative way it’s put together, however in this particular book I was disappointed with the final fight. There was a lot of build up, and then it was nothing close to a struggle for the hero. Suddenly he’s overpowering everything and no longer needs the elaborate plan he’s put together to save his home.
Otherwise I would still highly recommend this series as it is a great conversation on how humans would interact in a new world and I have thoroughly enjoyed the possibility of a good guy necromancer.

World builder extraordinaire has done it again!
Revisado: 03-15-21
Alaron Kong is brilliant at writing a story that both builds a world you can walk into and keep looking for a real door to get into, while adding humor and moral quandary’s that leave you laughing and thinking.
