The A I narrator is terrible but the content is interesting enough to keep me listening.

The A I narrator is terrible but the content is interesting enough to keep me listening.
Revisado: 02-05-25
The fact that these are true stories from recent history told by the people that lived them makes each story worth suffering through the robotic echo sound of AI. The inflictions are all wrong, and the pauses are where the line ends instead of at commas and periods. But the worst part of the narration is the many places where content is repeated due to the comments from other people; the original post is repeated then followed by the comment, then all is repeated again when the original post writer answers the comment, much like how email streams go back and forth. But the desire to hear the end of the stories is greater than the desire to shut off the sound of the A I narrator. So I'm bringing the content but looking forward to starting a different listen.

Amazing story!! Keep it coming!!

I'm hooked
Revisado: 05-04-24
The characters in this podcast have won me over. I've relistened to it more than a couple times in a row now.. in case I missed anything. The humorous dialogue makes this an enjoyable listen, plus the satire, and the puns, and the running jokes between episodes, and the unexpected moments of life wisdom. The depth of each charactor's personality is why the cohesive banter between characters is so fluid. and relatable. and believable. I wish I could really run into these guys the next time I go down a long desert highway!

Historia
Tim Kennedy has a problem; he only feels alive right before he’s about to die. Kennedy, a Green Beret, decorated Army sniper, and UFC headliner, has tackled a bull with his bare hands, jumped out of airplanes, dove to the depths of the ocean, and traveled the world hunting poachers, human traffickers, and the Taliban. But he’s also the same man who got kicked out of the police department, fire department, and as an EMT, before getting two women pregnant four days apart, and finally, been beaten up by his Special Forces colleagues.

what a ride
Revisado: 02-09-24
I am now a big fan. I chose this book because I had finished the series Hunting Hitler and wanted more. I didn't know who Tim Kennedy was before hearing his story but now I doubt I'll ever forget. I'd love to have a conversation with man but even more I wish I could enroll my children in his primary school, if only we weren't a couple thousand miles away. But he seems like he's b.a., and if he would do an interview on the Shawn Ryan Show Podcast I'd be first in line.

Over the course of two weeks, everything in Beartown will change. Two years have passed since the events that no one wants to think about. Everyone has tried to move on, but there’s something about this place that prevents it. The destruction caused by a ferocious late-summer storm reignites the old rivalry between Beartown and the neighboring town of Hed, a rivalry which has always been fought through their ice hockey teams. Maya Andersson and Benji Ovich, two young people who left in search of a better life, come home and joyfully reunite with their closest childhood friends.

I'm gonna restart this series so I can hear it again, so good so so good
Revisado: 01-08-24
I feel like I personally know the characters, that's how well written this series is. the storyline is such that I could believe it happening in reality and going down in a same similar way as described. highly recommend for a fan of drama and deep relationships among characters.

Historia
Like many well-to-do Upper East Siders over the age of 65, esteemed art appraiser Percival Skinner had planned to spend his retirement living off his savings. But a market correction has left him living below his prior means. One day he’s visited by a dapper fixer in search of a famous work by a Renaissance master. Skinner knows the work well: The original was owned by his ancestor, and was passed down through his family over the generations. If, as an intermediary, he can coordinate a sale, a small fortune awaits. Problem is, he might not be the only one on the make.

Finding Family: My Search for Roots and the Secrets in My DNA was a Global Ebook Awards gold medal winner and a Next Generation Indie Book Awards finalist. It is Richard Hill's true and intensely personal story of how he pieced together the long-kept secret of his own origins. This highly suspenseful book is a compelling saga of personal detective work that will appeal to anyone who loves a good mystery. But this isn't fiction.

His story gripped me
Revisado: 03-24-19
As the author described his adulthood quest for answers it was like he relived the events and all their details during which he took me along as a guest in the front row . I did enjoy this book and when it was done i wanted more. . more by the author. . more by the narrator. .more similar books to keep me going.
The narrator's voice was perfect for this book's content. His speed, tone, and inflections narrated the story as i imagine it was meant to be.
I know I'll listen to this selection again, more than once probubly, and I do not regret this selection and purchase.
