Disappointed
Revisado: 11-05-22
The narrator made it a chore to listen to. I couldn't make it but a few chapters in and I had to give up. Maybe it's a good read for you, but this wasn't the one for me.

Historia
A thousand years have passed since a dragon has been seen in the world. Science and technology have replaced magic, which has dwindled until it has become little more than an element of myth and legend. There are those who still have dragon blood flowing through their veins, distant descendants of the mighty creatures of old. These rare humans have the power to cast magic, the power to heal, and the power to craft alchemical weapons capable of starting wars...or ending them.

Narration is AWFUL
Revisado: 09-27-22
The narrator's voice is grating and her reading cadence is so strange. It's as though everything she says is a question and ends with an upward lilt but the rest of the sentence is monotone. I tried to give the story more of a chance, but I finally had to bail out after an hour of listening. I'm so sorry, but I simply cannot recommend this version of the audiobook due to the poor narration.

AMAZING narration

I'm a huge fan of the narrator. She's done an amazing job once again! I've read the series before and enjoy the premise.

Historia
A man climbs a cliff face in the oldest inhabited place on earth, a mountain known as the Citadel, a Vatican-like city-state that towers above the city of Ruin in modern-day Turkey. But this is no ordinary ascent. It is a dangerous, symbolic act. And thanks to the media, it is an event witnessed by the entire world.

One of My Favorites
Revisado: 06-13-22
I've read this series so many times and still adore it. I've never heard the audiobook version before, and boy, Simon Vance sure did a fantastic job! I'll definitely be listening to this multiple times. I highly recommend this book and the series as a whole.

Historia
In Medalon, Book One of the Hythrun Chronicles, Tarja Tenragen and his half-sister R'shiel were forced to lead a rebellion against their power hungry mother, who ruled Medalon as the First Sister of the Blade. But their mother's defeat came at great cost: not only does it leave Medalon vulnerable to invasion, R'shiel is mortally wounded. As Treason Keep begins, R'shiel is on the brink of death. Her only hope is the healing powers of the Harshini - magical beings long thought extinct. Even they will be hard-pressed to save the Demon Child of prophecy...

Amazing Performance!
Revisado: 06-06-22
So worth the listen. The performance is fantastic and I have been searching out more books performed by this wonderful artist. The story is well written and very much worth the keen. This is my second time through the series and it has only gotten better. 10/10 recommend!
