Historia
Not every danger comes in the form of a mega-threat like a Titan. Some predators are a lot cozier...more personal. When one such creature threatens an independent tutor, Harry Dresden must shake off the blood and dirt of his most recent battles and rise to the occasion, even when it turns out that the new predator is far more dangerous and connected than first appearances would suggest.

Change the player speed!!!
Revisado: 05-12-23
I'm glad I bought this on sale. I wanted to listen to it, even with all the bad reviews, but the length was not worth the $ or credit. I enjoyed the story, and Butcher was tolerable as the reader at 1.2x speed. i increase the speed slightly for bad narration a lot, and it's a game changer@

Historia
A year has passed since the Dark Wizard Myrin attempted to take control of the Kingdom of Verania. Though the scars of the final battle remain, Veranians have come together in unity in order to rebuild. Good King Anthony sits on the throne once more, with Morgan of Shadows at his side. However, a king is not immortal. One day, Anthony will step down, paving the way for his son, Grand Prince Justin, to assume the throne. And Justin wants anything but. Unfortunately for him, he finds himself with bigger things to worry about than just becoming the ruler of a country.

Increase playback speed!
Revisado: 06-18-21
Because of the narrator's odd/annoying cadence, I increased the playback speed to 1.05%.
SO MUCH BETTER!!

Good story line.

I've really enjoyed this series so far, but.....
I chose this series because it was suggested "Fans of WoT and Branden Sanderson will Love this!"
This may be because of all of the similar (stolen?)
names of things and places?
Khandar is WoT
Andori is WoT
Alir is KKC
I have read and listened to this genre exclusively for decades, and I understand basic normalcy and bleed-through in it.
Original names CAN be created, though.
