Couldn’t Quite Guess
Revisado: 08-29-24
Titillating mystery had me trying to guess and found I just couldn’t put my finger on it!!!! Though the book started slow, once I was engaged, I found myself enthralled. Sophisticated writing proving there is still art in great literature.

Disappointingly Basic
Revisado: 08-15-24
The storyline is basic and the characters seem very elementary and lack emotional stability. This is like a Tele Novella at its worst. They try to leave you with a cliffhanger at the end, which just seems more like a cut off sentence. Honestly, might be one of the worst books I’ve listened to in years.

Enjoyable
Revisado: 08-30-23
I couldn’t guess the end, which is what I liked best. I do wish the author would have elaborated a little more about where Grace and Millie are concerned. Did they mover? Where to? Happy Ends are great when there are no lose ends to the story.

Historia
Merritt Coletto and her husband, Luca, have the life they dreamed of: a coastal home, a promising future, and a growing family. That dream ends with a late-night knock on the door. Weak, broken, and emaciated, it’s Luca’s first wife, Lydia. Missing for ten years, presumed dead, and very much alive, she has quite a story. Racked with guilt over the beautiful life they’ve built, Merritt and Luca agree to help get Lydia back on her feet - it’s the least they can do. But the more enmeshed Lydia becomes in Merritt’s family, the more questions Merritt has.

I just didn’t see this ending coming. The majority of the book leaves you curious, and then when you think you’ve got it figured out there’s another surprise. I really enjoyed this book and the performance.

Historia
This hilarious, heartfelt, and soaring adventure will delight fans of The Goonies and Indiana Jones. Performed as a 1930s radio drama, it’s bursting with humor for all ages, orchestral scoring, and some of the most talented voices on Broadway. When their ace pilot parents (and adorable puppy) mysteriously disappear over the Pacific, the Flamingo Sisters - Flo, Faye, and Franny - escape the clutches of their evil Uncle Freidrich (who believes girls should never pilot aeroplanes) and join a flying circus.

Historia
Late Victorian London. When James Miller, the most respectable of Scottish businessmen, is pulled, dead, from the Thames, his daughter is drawn into an investigation which reveals a whole world of secrets and corruption. Alongside local detective Culley, Catriona’s search for her father’s killer leads all the way to the tragic truth behind the ghostly legend of The Darkwater Bride and the power of her deadly kiss. The Darkwater Bride combines the genres of the Victorian mystery thriller with the equally classic Victorian mode of the ghostly tale.

It was a struggle
Revisado: 09-23-19
For me, this performance of this book was too theatrical. When reading/listening to a book I like to use my imagination.
This book was so theatrical that it was like watching a cheesy skit. I couldn’t even finish it because it was too over the top for my liking.

Oh brother...
Revisado: 12-15-18
I couldn’t even make it to the storyline... This book is stressful and highlights a low class mentality in the beginning. The voice of the narrator is grating because of the stress in the voice which makes the story unbelievable and I relatable. Too much!
