cliche

Questioned if the writer had first hand knowledge of the culture at times. Granted I don't either, but it seemed to rely on stereo types, and odd sweeping statements I can't imagine being said in real life.

Historia
Glamorous and predatory, the Borgias fascinated and terrorized 15th-century Renaissance Italy, and Lucrezia Borgia, beloved daughter of the pope, was at the center of the dynasty's ambitions. Slandered as a heartless seductress who lured men to their doom, was she in fact the villainess of legend, or was she trapped in a familial web, forced to choose between loyalty and survival?

I couldn't accept the characters' motivations.

Whomever wrote this was never a teenage girl. I kept cringing at the unrealistic relationships and events. Finally gave up two thirds through which was too much time wasted. Don't recommend.

Historia
In Death by Food Pyramid, Denise Minger exposes the forces that overrode common sense and solid science to launch a pyramid phenomenon that bled far beyond US borders to taint the eating habits of the entire developed world. Minger explores how generations of flawed pyramids and plates endure as part of the national consciousness, and how the "one size fits all" diet mentality these icons convey pushes us deeper into the throes of obesity and disease.

Humorous look at history and science of nutition
Revisado: 04-03-15
Would you listen to Death by Food Pyramid again? Why?
Not likely, simply because of the monotone narration.
What did you like best about this story?
Denise Minger's well-reasoned writing and her willingness to help people understand what she is conveying about nutrition and the science (or lack thereof) behind it was definitely breath of fresh air compared to other recent releases.
Would you listen to another book narrated by David Minger?
I'm sure the narrator is an intelligent and lovely person but, no.
