Great book with complicated issues.
Revisado: 11-08-22
Loved this book. Great story, well written, nuanced and complicated. The author did not oversimplify the issues of sterilization, abortion and poverty. I will recommend the book.

Historia
In this classic theological treatise, the acclaimed theologian and religious leader Howard Thurman (1900-1981) demonstrates how the gospel may be read as a manual of resistance for the poor and disenfranchised. Jesus is a partner in the pain of the oppressed and the example of his life offers a solution to ending the descent into moral nihilism. Hatred does not empower - it decays. Only through self-love and love of one another can God's justice prevail.

Relevant book for our times
Revisado: 11-02-20
This is the kind of book that one needs to own a physical copy for reference and for inquiry. A great book with abundant wisdom and insight on how to be free from the shackles of hatred, fear and hypocrasy. An important book for healing from our collective and personal wounds. I am ordering a physical copy today.

Excellent study of the Holy Spirit
Revisado: 08-09-19
I have learned things about the Holy Spirit that I did not know. I feel like I am closer to the Lord. I am excited to seek him and to know him more. There is so much truth and excellent teaching in the book. R.T Kendall is a great teacher on this topic. His teaching is anointed and is completely edifying to the listener or reader. I highly recommend this book.

Powerful and revealing.
Revisado: 03-13-19
A powerful story, written in the 70s, yet it reads like it happens today. James Baldwin's writing is so revealing. Nothing can hide from his insight. I love the fact that the story is written from a young women's point of view by a man. I think he nails it. Great book except for the language - a tad crude. The narration is beautifully done.

In this award-winning Audible Studios production, Trevor Noah tells his wild coming-of-age tale during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. It’s a story that begins with his mother throwing him from a moving van to save him from a potentially fatal dispute with gangsters, then follows the budding comedian’s path to self-discovery through episodes both poignant and comical.
