Historia
Relax to the natural symphony of steady rain in Olympic National Park in Washington, as the raindrops plunk onto leaves, drip into puddles, and course down the grooved bark of ancient trees. Unlike canned nature sounds created in a studio, renowned acoustic ecologist Gordon Hempton gives you the real deal. He travels the world recording remarkable locations that capture the essence of the place itself.

Day of Reckoning
Revisado: 02-15-17
What did you love best about The Pagan Stone?
The series has built to this climactic moment.
After months of increasing paranormal activity, summer has finally arrived in Hawkins Hollow--which means that the Seven (7 days/nights of terror from an ancient demon) is almost upon them again. Having seen their friends pair off recently (Cal with Quinn, Fox with Layla), the remaining members of the demon-fighting squad (Gage Turner and Cybil Kinski) have vowed to keep their hands off each other. But that might be a lost cause, if the future-visions both have experienced are at all accurate. And if their hookup is inevitable, what does that say about Gage's vision of his own fate?
Who was your favorite character and why?
I like all of them.
What about Dan John Miller’s performance did you like?
It was fine, but as noted below, he was the 3rd narrator in this trilogy. I'd have preferred to have one consistent narrator for all the books.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
It's a good book, but too long by far to listen to all at once.
Any additional comments?
A negative to this trilogy is that each book in it is narrated by a different reader (male, female, male, respectively). Little to no effort was made to keep the "sound" of each character's speech at all consistent from one reader to the next.

Something wicked this way comes
Revisado: 02-15-17
If you could sum up The Hollow in three words, what would they be?
It is coming.
What other book might you compare The Hollow to and why?
The other books in the trilogy: Blood Brothers and Pagan Stone.
With the three women now settling into the Hollow until the Seven, it is Layla more than the others who is at loose ends--until she's bulldozed into stepping into the newly vacant role of office manager for Fox O'Dell's law office. Fox, one of the men who'd unwittingly unleashed the demon back when they were kids. Fox, with whom Layla shares the uncomfortable ability to read minds. Fox, who Layla is more attracted to than she wants to be. And as things with the demon ramp up earlier and harder than ever before, both Fox and Layla have to decide what to do about the passion building between them.
Which scene was your favorite?
Don't think I can pick just one
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
The Hollow: Eternal Battleground.
Any additional comments?

Bloodstone. Bloodlines. Blood.
Revisado: 02-15-17
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. Modern-day supernatural thriller. The night of their 10th birthday, three boys--Cal, Fox, and Gage--swear an oath and mix their blood out in the woods at the mystical Pagan Stone. Unknowingly, they also unleash an ancient demon, who proceeds to terrorize their town, Hawkins Hollow, for 7 nights every 7 years. 21 years later, with yet another Seven approaching, a reported named Quinn Black arrives in the Hollow to interview Cal Hawkins about the town's strange happenings. Soon, Layla Darnell and Cybil Kinski also arrive. Three men. Three women. Powerful connections that may be necessary, especially since the demon is stirring much sooner than ever before.
What did you like best about this story?
The connections between the trio of boys/men featured in this trilogy is great. I like how they vowed to do what was right, even though it wasn't easy.
What about Phil Gigante’s performance did you like?
Good reader. I like how the characters are voiced.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I do like how the guys--after all those years of keeping their secret held close--do trust the women they've just met with that secret and accept that outside help is what's now required.
Any additional comments?
A negative to this trilogy is that each book in it is narrated by a different reader (male, female, male, respectively). Little to no effort was made to keep the "sound" of each character's speech at all consistent from one reader to the next.

So many secrets
Revisado: 02-04-16
Where does Mercury's War rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It's a nice read, but not one of my all-time favorites.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Not sure. I can probably relate to Ria a lot.
Which character – as performed by Brianna Bronte – was your favorite?
Again, I'm not sure. I usually like Dane a lot, but his South African accent came and went more than I liked.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No, it's too long to listen to all at once.
Any additional comments?
It's been a little bit since I listened to this one, but I think I recall that some of the character voices just didn't ring true for me. But that could just be personal preference.

A fiery story of love and revenge
Revisado: 02-04-16
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, the entire series are wonderful reads, and this book is in the top half of my enjoyment list.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Ashes of Midnight?
When Reichen has to decide if he will master his psychic gift...or if it will master him.
Which scene was your favorite?
Too many to name...or to say anything about without spoiling so much of the book.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
It's a good read, but like all her novels is too long to listen to all at once. It's a good read for extended periods (like travel or gym workouts).
Any additional comments?
As always, the narrator does a good job, and doesn't leave out the necessary German accents.

Great story, but uneven performance
Revisado: 01-26-16
Would you listen to Dead Heat again? Why?
Yes. I love the author and the book, so I'm sure I'll listen to it again.
What did you like best about this story?
Anna and Charles are such a great couple. It's good seeing them work through normal issues in addition to the supernatural ones. Nice new characters and location.
What does Holter Graham bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Overall he's a good narrator that I enjoy listening to.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Beware the Fae!
Any additional comments?
While I've enjoyed the other books in this series that Holter Graham has read, I wasn't as impressed this time around. I found that most of the female characters didn't have believable voices, and the children...almost ludicrous how bad most of them sounded. Sad, because I hadn't noticed this problem before--though to be fair, the first couple stories in this series had very few female characters for him to voice.

Revisado: 11-09-15
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Absolutely, I recommend this. It's a great story and a well-done narration.
What did you like best about this story?
All of it.
Set a few weeks after "Cry Wolf". Charles Cornick and his father Bran, the Marrok, are at odds over Bran's plan to attend a conference with the European werewolves to discuss the Marrok's plan to take the werewolves public. So, instead, it is Charles and his new mate Anna who will attend. But while out shopping with two members of the host-pack, Anna is nearly kidnapped by a group of vampires. Did the vampires want Anna for themselves? Were they working on behalf of someone else? Who--or what--is threatening the werewolves?
What about Holter Graham’s performance did you like?
He does a good job with character voices. Reading is clear and easy to understand.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
It's a book I enjoy, but a bit too long to listen to in a single go. It did get me through multiple workouts at the gym.

Human or wolf, relationships aren't easy
Revisado: 10-16-15
What made the experience of listening to Cry Wolf the most enjoyable?
The narrator, Holter Graham, does a great job. Great tone, inflection, and emotion. I really enjoy this series and liked getting to listen to this book while at the gym doing my workouts.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Hard to say. Anna and Charles are the central characters, and I like both of them. You can really feel for what Anna went through in her past and how brave she is for trying to move past it. Charles...the lone wolf is alone no longer and he's not quite sure what to do about it. Sage is a fun character during her few brief appearances.
Which scene was your favorite?
Oh...I really like the wedding and the surprise Charles pulls for Anna. And there's the Leah/Sage exchange.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
It's a book that I like a lot, but it's way too long to listen to all at once.
