Historia
Emmeline lives on a remote island with her father, who teaches her about the natural world through her senses. What he won’t explain are the mysterious scents stored in glass bottles that line the walls of their cabin, or the origin of the machine that creates them. As Emmeline grows, however, so too does her curiosity, until one day the unforeseen happens, and Emmeline is vaulted out into the real world—a place of love, betrayal, ambition, and revenge. To understand her past, Emmeline must unlock the clues to her identity.

What a Story From a Magnificent Storyteller!
Revisado: 07-04-21
Such an unusual storyline but told in such a captivating way. Unexpected Twists and turns throughout. I do not re-read fiction books but I have to pick this book up again! The story is just that compelling. A great book to take you away on a fantastical journey within a framework of reality. 5 stars all around! All of this author’s books are well written and each totally different.

TOO MUCH Writing DESTROYED a Good Storyline!!!!
Revisado: 04-04-21
The story captured my attention from page 1! I started recommending this book before I finished it! I actually could not put it down. Can’t tell you how many times I set the sleep timer as I went to bed. I spent an entire Saturday cleaning closets and listening to this book! But I finally said ENOUGH!! How long is this story going to go on??!!! I stopped reading it because it got to the point of diminishing returns! I actually don’t care how the story ends now because the author took too long getting there! Very unsatisfying reading experience simply because the author dragged out the story. I actually got to the unexpected twist in the plot where Addie connected with her soulmate and their shared journey but it became laborious to continue with their story. So disappointing for a story that started with such promise!

Not a Trump Hating Book At All
Revisado: 07-30-20
For those who are looking for a trump bashing book...this is not it. It is a very well written and compelling story that captures your attention from start to finish. It makes you chuckle and makes you feel sorry for the hurt and pain the dysfunction caused. The first and the last chapters gives an assessment that only one with a professional psychological background can give, Everything in between tells the story of a family and the consequence and impact parents have on their children, good or bad. Mary Trump does not show hate for her uncle nor her family, although she had reason to do so. I think her motivation was love of country, not hate of trump. She's a very good writer, I hope she writes more books because she knows how to capture and keep her reader's attention.

5 Stars All Around
Revisado: 05-06-17
I had to have my 16 years old Yorkie euthanized 3 months ago, so I was very hesitant about reading this book. Turns out I didn't want to stop listening to the audio book! Truly a celebration of life, love and joy. I finished this book not in sadness but in loving remembrance of my dog that gave me so many years of joy and unconditional love. Thank you Gizelle, thank you Lauren! S. Hartwell
