Best writing skill, story progression and narration. The plot is evolving quite nicely. Might be my favorite book in the series. Great job!

Historia
Jada Pinkett Smith was living what many would view as a fairy-tale of Hollywood success. But appearances can be deceiving, and as she felt more and more separated from her sense of self, emotional turmoil took hold. Sparing no detail, Worthy chronicles her life.

Hint: Abandon your preconceived notions
Revisado: 11-14-23
With all of the “Jada and Will” news these days, it’s easy to get caught up in your own personal biases about what this book will be. I had my own—I was expecting salacious details, blaming, and grandstanding. But, I was wrong. Im sure others will disagree and people will have their opinions about her motivations (which is okay), but my honest review is this is a gorgeously written, beautifully narrated, unique telling of one woman’s journey. I don’t agree with all of her choices in life, but I don’t think I’m supposed to. Objectively speaking, I respect this work. It’s strong and informative, and it has tons of wisdom. I’d challenge people to listen to this book as a standalone piece. It’s amazing.

I couldn’t help comparing Book 1 to the Stormlight Archive, but this book was such a trip! Every element that bores you is a trap, lulling you into a false sense of security… then Bam! Amazing Narration as well. Many thanks for this gem of a book

In a word…meh.
Revisado: 04-16-23
So, I personally think the overall story was well-written and I don’t really have an issue with the narrator. I’m not Indian, so the representation of traditional women from that perspective is lost on me. I will say my main sticking point with this book is that it reads like a YA novel, but the subject matter is so very serious. The main character is absolutely unbearable and she’s not the only one. All of the characters vacillate between being self-important and immature, which, if nothing else, warrants an unlimited amount of eyerolls from the listener, and the way the author codes these women is not in alignment with any mid-30 year olds I know.

Historia
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

This one wasn’t the sometimes predictable meditate and level up installment. My best part was the WAR! The change of perspective from face-to-face, to birds-eye view during the battles was so much fun! Great job !

Left me speechless. World building, character development, storyline and pacing, the gore…everything is just perfect. The narrator is a psychopath too! Only complaint is that there isn’t a whole series. Great work Mr. Brown!

Beautiful, Absolutely Riveting Story!
Revisado: 05-09-22
I’ve held back my thoughts on this series until now. This is just ridiculously beautiful. Character development and world building, story progression.. all well executed. The presence of two protagonists also heightens the suspense. Can’t wait to finish the entire series.
