Historia
James Dommek, Jr., an Alaska Native writer and musician, sheds new light on a real-life mystery that pits Native American folklore against the US justice system. In the vast Alaskan Arctic, legend has it there once lived a mythic tribe—Iñukuns—that only existed in rumors and whispers. This changed forever when an actor-turned-fugitive, Teddy Kyle Smith, had an encounter that brought Iñukuns from myth to reality. Smith was an aspiring actor with a promising career until it all came quickly crashing down with a gunshot, a manhunt, bloodshed, and other frightful events.

Somewhat interesting
Revisado: 11-14-19
The premise that because you have a different religion , ethnic background, or regional background , you should not be held accountable to basic laws , is the fault of the piece. As the author/narrator points out that the laws of the United States were made by Christian Whites, the insinuation that attempted murder, theft, assault , public menacing ,should be excused for others is really unbelievable. Especially when the subject has a long history of prior events with the law . To say believing in mythical creatures is an excuse for attempted murder is really silly. Would be like a white,Christian male, using "The Devil made me do it" as an excuse as to why he shot someone 2 cm from their heart, and another in the shoulder, when the second one was running away. Presentation was fine, but glad I didn't use a credit, and got as a freebie. Is not shooting at someone, stealing their food, weapons, and transportation illegal in Alaska?

Historia
Whether taken as a book of faith or a cultural artifact, the New Testament is among the most significant writings the world has ever known, its web of meaning relied upon by virtually every major writer in the last 2,000 years. Yet the New Testament is not only one of Western civilization’s most believed books, but also one of its most widely disputed, often maligned, and least clearly understood, with a vast number of people unaware of how it was written and transmitted.

"critical review of the New Testament"
Revisado: 07-04-16
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
"Jesus should have said", " Paul meant to say" "or "if he meant this he should have said this" is too much speculation, when the narrator went out of his way to say how factual his analysis was.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Would have preferred a title of "critical review of the New Testament".
Did the narration match the pace of the story?
Overly calculated in his presentation. Would have preferred a " collective consensus " of what the writers of the New Testament wanted Christians to learn from the collection of books.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
No
Any additional comments?
I guess was OK but really focused much material on minutia vs substance of message.

Historia
On April 18, 1775, a riot over the price of flour broke out in the French city of Dijon. That night, across the Atlantic, Paul Revere mounted the fastest horse he could find and kicked it into a gallop. So began what have been called the "sister revolutions" of France and America. In a single, thrilling narrative, this audiobook tells the story of those revolutions and shows just how deeply intertwined they actually were.

Excellent presentation
Revisado: 08-20-12
What made the experience of listening to For Liberty and Glory the most enjoyable?
More insight into Lafayette and also the more detailed involvement of the French involvement in the American Revolution .
What other book might you compare For Liberty and Glory to and why?
A Glorious Cause . Also get insight into how the French got involved other than the standard Ben Franklin credit.
What about Norman Dietz’s performance did you like?
Excellent presentation. You get the good and the bad,as well as the information on how the French had aspirations of unseating Washington and taking over the war effort against England.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Gave me the feeling of being proud of individauls like Washington and Lafayette, that they had the guts to put their own lives and repoutations on the line for a new nation.
Any additional comments?
Easy read/listen despite many intimate details.

Historia
Drawing on a lifetime of military experience, Brigadier General S. L. A. Marshall, "one of our most distinguished military writers" ( New York Times), delivers this unflinching history of the war that was supposed to end all wars. From the perspective of more than half a century, Marshall examines the blunders and complacency that turned what everyone thought would be a brief campaign and an easy victory into a relentless four-year slaughter that left 10 million dead and 20 million wounded.

Good basic information
Revisado: 08-17-12
What did you like best about The American Heritage History of World War I? What did you like least?
Some minutia slowed the progress
Who was your favorite character and why?
Best part was the drama created by the steamrolling Germans from the first few years of the war, with questionable ristance from the allies.
Do you think The American Heritage History of World War I needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
No. A condensed version(this one was 15 discs) would really be a much easier read.

Historia
Macbeth: A Novel brings the intricacy and grit of the historical thriller to Shakespeare’s tale of political intrigue, treachery, and murder. In this full-length novel written exclusively for audio, authors A. J. Hartley and David Hewson rethink literature’s most infamous married couple, grounding them in a medieval Scotland whose military and political upheavals are as stark and dramatic as the landscape in which they are played.

The first 25 episodes from the landmark BBC Radio series. Martin Sixsmith brings his first-hand experience of reporting from Russia to this fascinating narrative, witnessing the critical moment when the Soviet Union finally lost its grip on power. Power struggles have a constant presence in his story, from the Mongol hordes that invaded in the 13th century, through the iron autocratic fists of successive Tsars.
