I love this book! It was insightful, sad, and happy all at the same time. The author takes you into her world beautifully and shows you all the things she has learned that maybe others should learn too. I’m glad she is making it okay for some people to say yes to therapy by the way she lays it all out on the table. This will probably be in my top five favorite books!

This book was so empowering and encouraging to me. Jess really has a gift for speaking and writing! I highly recommend getting the audio version of the book. To me, it just was so powerful to have someone speak into my life and get me on track the way Jess does with this book.

I liked this book because the author is very vulnerable with her life story and how she overcame certain situations in life. I think this book is more of an autobiography than anything but it is still encouraging.

I loved this book!! Listening to it on audible was great because the author is so lyrical in her writing. I loved the message and all the scripture she used to back it up. Everyone should read this!

What would have made Love Does better?

Goff makes a lot of statements that may be christian based but he doesnt reference the Bible as much as he should. He uses "I think" a lot but I wanted to know what God thinks. If he would have backed up what he thought love does by what God says love does, I would have enjoyed it a lot more.

Any additional comments?

It had great stories and great thoughts but in order to be a christian book, as it is so often advertised, Goff should've included biblical references and biblical stories in addition to his own.

Would you consider the audio edition of Goliath Must Fall to be better than the print version?

No.

Any additional comments?

This was a great book with a different spin on the David and Goliath story. I only wish it would have focused on the topics more. Some of them felt quick and I wanted to spend more time examining them and how to let God help me conquer them. Overall it was a great book, just wish there was more time spent on certain topics

Where does Through the Eyes of a Lion rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is one of the first and best books I have listened to so far.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Through the Eyes of a Lion?

This book really puts grief in perspective. It's hard to understand God's plan when something tragic happens but this book really puts grief in perspective as a christian and how we should deal with it.

What does Levi Lusko bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The glory of God within grief

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes. This book made me cry remembering my own grief process and also identifying with the feelings that Lusko felt.

Any additional comments?

Before this book I did not know how to deal with grief as a christian. It was the unexplained and unexamined for me. I was mad at God and it really challenged my faith. People told me "God has a plan for this" and i thought that was messed up because I was hurting. This book helped explain God's plan and how to deal with tragedies as a christian and wanting to love and serve God while not completely understanding him either.
