Historia
While excavating a previously uncharted passage beneath the ancient city of Teotihuacan, archaeologist Jade Ihara makes a startling discovery: enormous stone spheres, arranged to resemble a model of the solar system, slowly orbiting a golden sun. Even more fantastic, when Jade attempts to move one of the spheres, she catches a glimpse of the future...a premonition that will save her life and launch her into a desperate race to unlock the mysterious secret of the oracular orbs.

Good Archaeological Thriller

Good narrator. Must listen carefully. I usually listen at night and kept falling asleep, so I missed some things. Will listen to it again as the subject matter is very interesting to me, and I would like to hear book 2 when available. I received this audio book for free in exchange for an honest review.

Historia
The Pink Bus and Other Strange Tales from Lala Land by G. Michael Vasey is a collection of magical vignettes and short stories about living, dying, death, and the other side. Thrill to the strangeness, and humor, of the pink bus; shiver and shudder at the creepy mirror antics faced by Andrew; delight in the tale of "Déjà vu" - and wonder to yourselves about the nature of reality, the capabilities (so often under-utilized) of human beings and the mysteries of dreaming, life, and death.

Not My Cup of Tea
Revisado: 09-07-16
Quick listen, but not my cup of tea. Thought the subject matter would be a little deeper, but still an easy listen. Just wasn’t what I was hoping for. I was given this audio book for free in exchange for an honest review.

Historia
There are only three things in this world that are certain: death, taxes, and babies. Nobody knows this truth better than Emily McCoy, a third-year resident working in Baby City, the affectionate nickname for the busy Labor and Delivery unit at a New York City hospital. On a typical day in Baby City, Emily delivers more babies than the number of hours of sleep she manages to squeeze in that night. And definitely more than the number of dates she's been on since she started her training in OB/GYN two years earlier.

Some Redeeming Qualilties, But Not My Favorite
Revisado: 09-07-16
I did not like the main character, nor was I interested in her personal life. Liked the birthing sections the best. Interesting behind-the-scenes look, though, at an ob-gyn’s life. I received this audio book for free in exchange for an honest review.

An Absorbing Story-Many Twists and Turns
Revisado: 04-26-16
This was a great mystery whodunit. The characters were quirky and fascinating in their quest to find the murderer of the opera singer that takes place 7 years prior.
You just want to devour the book to get to the bottom of the mystery, but try to savor the rich characterizations, and plot development. I look forward to listening again.

A Different Kind of Thriller
Revisado: 03-30-16
Would you consider the audio edition of Cedar Ridge to be better than the print version?
Did not read the print version.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Yes. Very exciting with lots of twists and turns. Kept you guessing the whole way through.
What does J. Scott Bennett bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He did a good job with the narration. Very easy to listen to, very believable characters.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Can't think of anything clever.
Any additional comments?

Historia
It was 335 years ago that a settler in the Virginia colonies completed a sacrificial spell and buried a legendary occult book for the next one destined to find it. Now that person is Darin Dague, a freshman at Jamestown University and deranged sociopath. His chosen target for the spell is his shy, studious roommate, Louis Paige. Even as Louis struggles to put the pieces of Darin's scheme together, he finds himself trapped in a parallel reality where he must prevent his own sacrifice, save the girl he loves, and thwart Darin's plan....

Thrilling and Exciting Without Being Too Scary
Revisado: 02-09-16
Would you listen to The Moving Soul again? Why?
Probably not. Now that I know the outcome, it wouldn't be as exciting the second time around.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Louis. He didn't let his limitations stop him from doing what was right. I liked seeing him grow in confidence as the book progressed.
What does Joshua Criss bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I wasn't crazy about his narration at first, but he grew on me. I just like being read to.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I was very glad when Louis finally got the girl.
Any additional comments?
I enjoyed the book and would be interested in reading other titles by this author.
