Historia
In A Good Bad Boy, Margaret Wappler attempts to understand who Perry was and why he was unique among his Hollywood peers. To do so, she uses an inventive hybrid narrative. She speaks with dozens who knew Perry personally and professionally. They share insightful anecdotes: how he kept connected to his Ohio upbringing; nearly blew his 90210 audition; tried to shed his heartthrob image by joining the HBO prison drama Oz; and in the last year of his life, sought to set up two of his newly divorced friends.

Nostalgic

Growing up in the 90’s, this book brought back a lot of great memories. It also showed what a great guy Luke Perry was from first hand accounts by people who knew him personally and professionally. He will be forever missed. Great book!

Very Informative

Selling the Dream is a book we can all relate to. “Hey hun.” lol. I like how the author wrote about the history of its origins, legal cases, and how she used real life examples from real people. It will make you sad, angry, and want to make change. Thank you for the education of this scam of an industry.

The impact of sharing her voice—her truth—was undeniable, and it changed the course of her life and the lives of countless others. The Woman in Me reveals for the first time her incredible journey—and the strength at the core of one of the greatest performers in pop music history. Bravo Britney!!!
Revisado: 10-26-23
This memoir was very well written. It was respectful to those who have wronged her and I am so happy we finally know Britney’s perspective. Her story truly is heartbreaking and I hope the world can learn from her story and turn such dark injustices into light.

Historia
Black Americans have long been shackled to the Democrats. Seeing no viable alternative, they have watched liberal politicians take the Black vote for granted without pledging anything in return. In Blackout, Owens argues that this automatic allegiance is both illogical and unearned. She contends that the Democrat Party has a long history of racism and exposes the ideals that hinder the Black community’s ability to rise above poverty, live independent and successful lives, and be an active part of the American dream.

An “Us vs. Them” narrative that divides us instead of helping us understand each other.
Revisado: 06-16-22
I was very disappointed with this book as it was recommended by a friend. A lot of mistruths and generalizations to keep us divided. Don’t waste your time.

Having entertained the idea for years, and even offered a few questionable opportunities ("It's a piece of cake! Just do four hours of interviews, find someone else to write it, put your face on the cover, and voila!") I have decided to tell these stories just as I have always done, in my own voice.
