I thought I would feel empty or wanting more when I finished this book. But it just feels like, The End. Jonathan Keeble is amazing, AGAIN. Dan Wrote another banger, AGAIN.

Dan Abnett structured this book VERY differently from the other books and I think he FREAKING DELIVERED! Jonathan Keeble, once again, delivered a masterclass of a performance. Seriously, can J-Keebs deliver anything but an A+ performance? The shorter chapters Dan did in this book kept me engaged during the entire drive from Nashville to Oklahoma City. The fight between my beautiful Hawk-Boi and Preparation-H(orus) left me wanting more, and was not what I was expecting, but honestly, it made sense. Quick and fast is wicked dangerous, but if the bruiser (albeit a Warp infused bruiser...) can get his hands on you, it's game over man. For The Great Angel!

I LOVED this book series, The books did have the certain trappings of a first-time published author, but the growing tension of their battle with Medusa and the philosophical musings in the books MORE than made up for them.

Jonathan Keeble does it again!

How does the madman do it? How does J-Keebs keep outperforming himself with each of these books?

When Dorn was asked...THAT question for the final time at the end of one of the chapters, I rewound it multiple times just to listen to it again.

Also, props for Dan Abnett for writing this book. The scenes and chapters where Malcador was the pov, it felt like he was talking to me as if he was performing a soliloquy in a Broadway theater with only me in it.

Is the next book out yet? lol

Eat S***, Traitor

As a Flesh Tearers fangirl, this book was great.

Anything that has Nassir Amit in anything more than a short story or an audio drama is a refreshing glass of cool water (a very cool VERY ANGRY glass of water...) in a desert.

Aaron Demski-Bowden is by FAR my favorite Black Library author in the Heresy series. Dan is a stellar teller of tales, but Master of Mankind was the first Heresy novel I listened to as well as my first Heresy physical media purchase. While I thought J Keebs' performance in The Lost and the Damned (the Traitor Primarch teleconference was a master-class display of skill and experience), he once again delivers a STELLAR performance in this book.

For not, loyal Imperial Subjects, for The Great Angel is with us!

My only prior Urban Fantasy experiences are Dresden so I'm not as prolific as others but I enjoyed the back out of this book.

In my opinion, it's a pretty good yarn, but the narrator REALLY makes the story come alive. I hope the narrator gets to do more in the series!

An EXCELLENT Narrative Study

For anyone interested in learning how to successfully write a short story, novella, light novel, or a novel itself in the 3rd Person Multiple POV perspective, look no further.

There was not point in this story where I never knew who's perspective it was from.

Also, each character had their own unique personality, mannerisms, and speech patterns.

I can't wait for the next book in the series.
