The dark is angry...Jameson, the dummy, went off chasing boobs so now I’m chasing a boob too - him. Every road, so far, ends at a dead end or with someone dead at the end. Mostly the latter. My patience is growing short and so is time. As Phobe blithely reminds me with his sharp smile, there’s a reason the Sidhe chose me and that reason leaves me covered in blood. When I finally find the people who took my nerd - I realize the depth of deception.

The new voice

No offense to Roseann Haines. Voicing Iza and all of the females was great. Voicing the men on the other hand... horrible. She made Isa’s uncle sound like a valley girl! Lmao. I was so thrown off I had to rewind to see which character was speaking. The story was awesome and Roseann made Iza more feisty but yeah lol

Annoying but interesting
Revisado: 01-30-20
It sucks to get sucked up in an annoying book. I just need closure. It takes 3 years to get through a damn scene. So many words for so little results. 100 pages only cover like a day in these books. All these inner monologues and back and forth about trust and answering phone calls. Only 30 of the 100 pages cover any action. The other 70 covers the thinking and complaining. And I figured out Emma’s secret in book 1 it was so obvious. And I knew Hunter’s secret though more than half way through I thought maybe the situation could apply to Jax or Emma instead. Now I want to know the dumb reason why this “person” randomly shows up at the end of this book. Hopefully book 3 is 100 page lol

Bennett Fox walked into my life on one hell of a crappy Monday morning. I was late for the first day at my new job - a job I’d now have to compete for, even though I’d already worked eight years to earn it, because of an unexpected merger. While I lugged my belongings up to my new office, a meter maid wrote me a parking summons. She’d ticketed a long line of cars - except for the Audi parked in front of me, which happened to be the same make and model as mine. Annoyed, I decided to regift my ticket to the car that had evaded a fine.

Humor Galore
Revisado: 01-24-20
Annalise is gorgeous, natural, charming, witty, loving, kind, and intelligent but of course, it’s a Vi Keeland book so she’s a basic ass pushover. She takes a lot of shit. She has a bit of an asshole streak but she’s mostly a martyr. She is trash magnet (her exes, admirers, the MC). Bennett was often trash but she would nurture his good side and things between them would blossom beautifully.
Bennett is sexy, witty, and intelligent but of course, it’s a Vi Keeland book so he’s also a little bitch. He says a lot of shit that I personally wouldn’t forgive him for in real life. He’s one of those funny, secretly caring characters that you like enough to overlook their flaws in books. His tantrums are mean. He’s been traumatized but the source of the drama from his side could’ve been done better. It was in there, we saw the buildup but something just made it hard to feel when the shoe finally fell.
Liking both main characters is a rarity that I now cherish. The chemistry was palpable. The sexual tension was intense (I loved how obvious the attraction was). The humor was grade A. Vi is good at assigning quirks which made this book that much better. This book would’ve been a 2 star without the humor. The story was decent but I’ve read enough of her books to now know what to expect. It’s why I usually read a book or two of hers then take a break until the next time I need a “cocky bastard falls hard” story. The climax was annoying! I gasped but then rolled my eyes like “why?” It was poetic I guess but not really. My goodness, how much does Annalise have to go through to be worthy of love? Lol smh. At least no one important died and left us heartbroken. This was a feel good story with a few bumps along the way. Mistakes were made and overcome.
I’d recommend this book to anyone who needs a good laugh and a bit of steam. The characters won’t make you yell at your phone but you’ll roll your eyes a time or two lol.

Awesome read
Revisado: 02-23-19
This book was perfect. The humor, the characters, the way the story progressed, it was all beautifully written. Ron Butler’s narration made this ten times better.

Of course I wanted more but this was still awesome. The times when I wondered what the hell was Grey thinking we're all addressed. The Narration was on point. That one pilot's accent was beautiful imo.
