She's an artist with a painful secret. He's a football player with an embarrassing past. This story is both fun and poignant, and the reader did a wonderful job of expressing both.

Fun, sexy romp with unexpected heart. Katina Kalin does a great job bringing this zany story to life.

Flowers from the Storm is one of my favorite historical romance novels, and this audio treatment totally exceeded my expectations, much less my hopes of how wonderful it could be. Nicholas Boulton's voice and characterizations are sheer perfection, and do this beautiful story justice.

I continue to love this series and narrator. I recommend it for all adults and young adults (and children whose parents don't mind some allusions to sexual situations that will mostly go over their heads, and are never on stage or involving the main character).

Mediocre Execution of Good Premise

Total
3 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 01-11-08

The premise -- wizardry existing in Regency England and young boys having it beaten out of them so that they won't shame their families -- is really strong. Simon Prebble, as always, did a fantastic job as reader. However, I thought the execution of the story (the actual writing) was only so-so. I'm not sorry I listened to it, but I can't give it a strong recommendation.

Franklin Planner

Total
5 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 01-17-04

Yes, this book is largely about using the Franklin Planner. But I read the book almost ten years ago and bought my Franklin Planner, and the two combined to be life-changing for me. I have ADD and lived in chaos before this system. I wish I'd found it sooner.

So, if you're not interested in the Franklin Planner (now combined with the Covey system) you probably won't want this. But if you really need help finding sanity in the chaos of your life, you might want to give it a try.
