The story was so well acted and the story intense that I hated the end.. Where it's over and not continuing. Then I found book 2 !! I am so excited to have a listen!

A definite book worthy of a purchase!

Damn near Erotica

This book was a huge disappointment and a waste of my credit. It was so close to erotica I couldn't let my grandmother listen to it let alone myself.

There is so much detail provided that most of the book is thought or descriptions given... Not much actual story as compared to the other things described.

Confussing start to this one

At the end of book one, the main bad guy dies, and in book two he's suddenly alive(ish) he is a set of bones walking around with Septimuses brother. it isn't until book two that they tell us how he is retrieved from his deadly slumber. This leaves you wondering what the hell happened... And doesn't answer that question until you start book two.

Other than the above problem the book and story were great... I enjoyed the narration and the story wholeheartedly.

WONDERFUL BOOK

Love the Septimus Heap Series, Fun as always, the author is very kind at the end of each book when he gives an overview of the actions of each character after the ending of the book, answering "I wonder whatever happened to..." This truly helps in understanding what happened as you go into the next story, not having to worry about "How did they get there?" or "How did that get there?"

The Narrator was different in Book one from the rest of the series but by the time we got here to book 3 we had gotten used to him and his sing-song voice for certain characters. He did much better in this book as opposed to his last book.

Not fond of the narractor.

The story is fabulous when listened to after book 1. However, the narrator uses a sing-song voice in many of his pathetic voices which really put down the characters he is trying to portray. This makes the characters seem very idiotic. When a character is 'whining' he uses a sing-song voice which sounds horrible and is not realistic with the story or what is currently going on.

We are not fond of this narrator.

Book 1-6? LIES!

This collection is NOT books 1 through 6 in fact it is Book 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, and Chronicles. It does NOT include Anne of Windy Poplars(Book 4) Or Anne of Ingleside(Book 6)

The Narrator is changed mid-story to another which I found very annoying as the two narrators speak differently for those in the story, making the start of the new narration hard to follow.

WONDERFUL BOOK in the series

This book is not included in the collections although I think it certainly should be! Tara Ward is a GREAT Narrator and made the book most enjoyable! I suggest this book not be skipped in the series!

Who's Talking Now?

Great Story! Not the best performance. I had a horrible time trying to figure out who was talking and when it changed from one person to the next. They all sounded the same, Female, Male, it didn't matter all the voices were the same making it hard to distinguish one from another.
