Historia
A part of me wants to run away again. The memory of my death still haunts my dreams. But this is my home now. And I'll be damned if I give it up without a fight. I mean, all I have to do is learn how to navigate xianxia politics and train for battle while simultaneously running my farm and uncovering an ancient cataclysm that apparently destroyed the Azure Hills back in the day. Meanwhile, I'm about to be a father . . . Man, I'm kinda screwed, aren't I? At least I can call in the cavalry—ahem, poultry—to help.

Good, but one of the lasts books before harem.
Revisado: 02-18-25
I love this story overall, but I pay to read ahead on Patreon, and the author has decided to take this story down the harem route with the story. I really loved that this story wasn't doing that, and now that it's happened (not in books yet but is official in future chapters), It has really taken a lot of the enjoyment out of the story.
Now I'm reading into every character interaction, wondering who is going to be added next.
(P.S. It is not Jin who starts the harem, but it is the main cast... Also, the author has said that it is a possibility that Jin will open his marriage to another, but he hasn't decided yet)

Historia
Against all odds, former geneticist Benny White has survived the first Wave of the Game of Souls. But the rewards have come at a cost, and the games are far from over. New enemies have been introduced with eyes set on those calling the Blackstone Keep home. Not only do the contestants have to struggle against the Arketh-Takshi—a group of intergalactic vampiric pirates residing within scattered portals—but also with private outworlder factions whose motivations are anything but clear. Not to mention some threats that originate a little closer to home.

Very good. But now we have to wait!
Revisado: 12-26-24
very strong book series so far. really enjoy books like this one, and this one, for me personally, ranks near the top of all the series that are similar out there. I don't like psychopath main characters and side characters that matter. this has that and progression that is very interesting and keeps you hooked. can't wait for the next book.

In a world where runes hold unimaginable power, mere mortal and gifted artisan Nate must harness arcane magic to navigate treacherous paths, reveal the hidden truths of his own past, and discover the workings of the illusive ‘System’. No big deal. Emboldened by only his penknife and a weirdly profound understanding of runic sorcery, Nate must uncover if the path he has been thrust upon may spare his earthly existence. After all, why only leave your mark on one world… when you might leave it on two?

really good story for those who enjoy the likes of Primal Hunter, defiance of the fall, or sylver seeker. it's not as grim as primal or defiance, that is all conflict all the time, but lots of skills leveling, and adventuring. highly recommend you don't sleep on this.

it was good. I finished it. parts of the story bothered me though.
Revisado: 04-28-24
story was okay. I liked the concept enough to finish, but the main character did bother me at times.
he is supposed to have his memories from another life. he reminds the reader that he is more mature mentally... but the character comes across as more immature than literally every character we meet.
a verbal bully calls him a dog. he doesn't ignore it or confront the bully like an adult. he starts growling and baring his teeth like a dog.
he doesn't think things through and acts on impulse
he, kinda, blames others for things they have no control over.
the Mc just comes across as immature which clashes with what I'd presented.
it's fine. Just a bit jarring for me personally. like I said I still read it and will probably read book 2

The long-awaited sequel to Jake’s Magical Market is finally here—and now with more market! Well, not quite yet. First, Jake has to survive a perilous trek through time if he ever hopes to return home to his friends, his market, and his former world. The last time we saw our intrepid hero, Jake had barely managed to escape being trapped on a dead version of his own world. Using a combination of his new powers, he threw himself backward through time, back to when the god that trapped him first rose to power.

Jakes relationships are ephemeral as his illusions.
Revisado: 03-07-24
I liked the story, it's fun, I would recommend. My biggest complaint is that his relationships with other people are all doomed to end. it happened last book it happened in this book (with the exception of one character). It actually made me upset when he started actively sabotaging his current relationships by treating them badly because he was throwing himself a pitty party.

Just keeps getting better
Revisado: 11-09-23
Really good. To me, this book has gotten better with every new installment with this far out pacing the other two, and after reading ahead book 4 seems to continue the trend being just as good if not better than this book.
