Having had a near death experience myself, I have been reading and listening to everything on the topic that i can get my hands on. Most have not been the disappointment that this book was for me.
FIRST, I was struggling to get through the book because of the slow, boring narration. It just didn't do it for me like most other books, podcasts and videos have.
After fast forwarding here and there, I called it quits in chapter 10 at about 20 minutes into the narration. The author was trying to explain her confusion about how she was able to understand so much more, hear conversations down the hall, etc.
She then asks herself, "Who is giving me these abilities?" (I'm paraphrasing somewhat for the sake of time.) She goes on to wonder, "Is it God, Krishna, Buddha, Jesus? "
She concludes, "It was me. I was God."
That was it for me. At that point, I concluded listening.
Just a warning for anyone who might also be offended by this point of view.

Look for This Narrator on Children's Books

This narrator sounds as if she's reading aloud to a class of very young students. Believe me, I've taught kids of all ages, and she sounds appropriate for no older than 12. High school kids would be rolling their eyes at eachother.
i had high hopes for the content. That wasn't even up to par. Just feathers and lollipops... or some such thing. I kept falling asleep.

I can't say I was bored by the book, but my main criticism is the author's narration. if this is her best, maybe she should have had someone else narrate, The author speaks very fast, with little intonation, as if she had a time limit to finish. it made my head spin at times.
i guess the author didn't promise more in depth information about Melania, and she definitely didn't provide it. it's very superficial and glossed over, describing endless numbers of lunch dates the two shared, where Melania is as tight lipped as you'd expecrt her to be.
Rather disappointing, and as i said, very tough to listen to.

Third Listen Was a Charm

The first listen, I hated because I couldn't understand Prince Harry's British accent. I kept reading rave reviews, so I tried again, this time understanding and getting into the story line. Finally, I had to give it a third listen to get all my details straight so that I'd digested all I could. So, Harry, that's 51 hours of listening!
The childhood years we're interesting in that I had never realized how differently the royal family may have approached raising their 2 sons. I do wish more information had been given about both boys' individual upbringing. For
example, how is it explained to a young boy that he will be a king?! What needs to be said to make him take it seriously? I have 4 sons and can't imagine. I do wish Harry hadn't been so upset about the spare thing. That's gone on for eons. He's
got to know that by now! Yes, in some ways it stinks, but after all, he has much more freedom as the spare!
The adult years were fascinating, with one exception. I've had a miscarriage and don't believe the story about burying the baby for one minute. Most importantly, it's just a lot of blood and small clots. How would they or the nurse ever had known where the miscarried fetus was?
I'm still in awe that he would leave his family and everything he had. Yes, your life is not entirely your own, but hey....I could enjoy the glamor and money.
The Sandringham Summit was eye opening, though. I guess when you consider that, leaving wasn't so dumb after all.

How did Melody Beattie agree to let this woman narrate her book? Maybe the woman would do well with Erma Bombeck or a Beverly Cleary book.
And she is supposedly speaking about grief, supposedly comforting the listeners. Obviously, it's not the words that are offensive since Beatty wrote the book. It's the narrator's flippant, tongue on check tone of voice.
Really?
I'm curled up in bed looking for comfort because ALS took my favorite sister away in February. And this idiot reads the book like everything is a joke.
How offensive!

What the heck? Joel Thielke has me (us?) buying multiple books that sound different when we read the summary, but then, we pay for a second, and in my case, third book, and either he or some female narrator teaches astral projection with the same words, same imagery, same pretty much everything, as the first 2 books.
Is his library of metaphors, imagery, and just plain vocabulary really that limited?
Like I said the first time I got suckered, he's laughing "all the way to the bank".
Come on Joe, you can make money, but have some self respect and some respect for us peons who are spending our much smaller bank accounts on "repeat books" that are wrapped up with different colored paper and a shinier bow. Stand up, be a man, and do right by your customers.

This was a ridiculous waste of money.
First of all, is that all he's got is flights of stairs??? (This is his common theme.) And 20 stairs again.
Then out a door to imagine watching a drop of water fall off a leaf into a pool of water.
He's constantly saying, "It's OK if you don't hear me, don't know what I said, etc."
Great! This should really help, I'm thinking.
At the end of no more than 30 minutes of this rip off of my money, Mr. Thielke's voice becomes much louder to announce that it's the end. SO LOUD, that it woke up my very calm Lab who started barking at my tablet. VERY RELAXING!
Unfortunately, this master of all rip off artists already has my money and is laughing all the way to the bank.
How in the world does this teach anyone to master manifestations?
I'm so angry! Never again, Mr. Thielke!

I'm one who has always barely tolerated reading or hearing stores
from the Old Testament. No one could ever make the characters come alive, or even keep my attention. Until now.
Not until Justin began weaving stories of murder, mystery, and mayhem could I listen attentively.... on the edge of my seat.
He combines suspense, a commanding voice and an intriguing mastery of turning ancient stories into ones fit for a modern day campfire.
Justin has an amazing gift. Gather round and see for yourself!

I use this tape as it often puts me to sleep. No luck with astral projection after several months. I experienced it (a couple of times) spontaneousty as a very young adult, so I know it's possible, Disappointed this didn't work for that.
