Historia
Biblical womanhood - the belief that God designed women to be submissive wives, virtuous mothers, and joyful homemakers - pervades North American Christianity. From choices about careers to roles in local churches to relationship dynamics, this belief shapes the everyday lives of evangelical women. Yet biblical womanhood isn't biblical, says Baylor University historian Beth Allison Barr. It was born in a series of clearly definable historical moments.

A theological must read
Revisado: 11-08-22
Learned so much about the history of the church and the many evolutions it has gone through since 33AD. If this book becomes a required read for every theological student, I dare say we may see a revival and return to Christ-centered doctrine. Thoughtful, articulate and thorough - the author left no historical moment of the church unturned. Highly recommend it.

Historia
Through storytelling and brutally honest disclosures, Dustin brings his highly relatable brand of humor to the challenges couples may face, including eating healthy (versus being happy), parenting (building crucial survival skills), finances (bill collectors, anyone?), and church attendance (Melissa's purse holds enough mints and fidget toys to entertain the kids and Dustin).

Entertaining, genuine & authentic
Revisado: 06-10-22
Dustin’s comedy proves it can be clean, absent in agenda and ride the center aisle and still bring down the house. It is clever, insightful and smart. His podcast with Melissa, Don’t Make Me Come Back There, brings a dimension and depth to Dustin’s brand of comedy that can only be attributed to Melissa, and they are one of the most endearing couples. Now he has a book that if you aren’t already a fan will make you one. While some of the sections made me blush a little - in the same way I don’t want to hear about my own actual brother’s sex life - I finished the book with a sense of camaraderie in faith and parenting and assurance that just because you don’t look like the kind of couple people think makes a successful formula, doesn’t mean you aren’t doing some or most things right for your own marriage.
