Gnat the Devourer is becoming a more prominent figure in grand space politics. Sure, he may not be totally independent yet, but he has enough leeway to be able to differentiate Earth's interests from those of its Geckho suzerains and act exclusively for the good of his own kind. Gnat must balance obligations to his almighty suzerains against a desire to advance humanity's position in space, and his home planet's search for ever more allies.

Rosgard has become the owner of a unique spell that can blaze a trail to the lost continent, thus leaving himself with no choice in the matter. His character will have to become a great deal stronger before the Great Expedition begins, or he'll have to forfeit the spell and pass it on to somebody else. However, the game's presented Rosgard and his team with a new challenge - now they have to accept the ultimatum of an aggressive underwater race known as the crabbers and set off on a difficult and dangerous quest which they dare not fail for fear of horrible repercussions.

The once-great mansion is decaying, the vast network of clients have broken ties long ago, and the remaining family scrabbles over crumbs as the last remnants of their fortune are spent repaying their debts. The family seems doomed, beyond all hope of salvation. Lucy Lamplighter, returning to her home after her father’s death, intends to save her family by any means necessary. Gambling everything she has left, she stakes it all on a desperate bid to rebuild House Lamplighter before the vultures begin to swoop.
