Historia
Hollis Shaw, creator of the popular food blog, Hungry with Hollis, is shocked when her heart surgeon husband, Matthew, is killed in a one-car accident on a snowy morning. The cracks in Hollis’s perfect life—her strained marriage and her complicated relationship with her daughter, Caroline—grow deeper. So when Hollis hears about something called a “Five-Star Weekend”—one woman organizes a trip for her best friend from each phase of her life: her teenage years, her twenties, her thirties, and midlife—she decides to host her own Five-Star Weekend on Nantucket.

A sweet story and study of all the strong feelings after a death of a loved one. Elin kept the feelings real and eloquently depicted the growth that comes through grief. The book pulls me to plan a visit to Nantucket🌊

Surprised this isn’t on the banned book list….
Revisado: 05-29-23
A great read and a sad look at our history….even sadder that our lack of respect toward Native Americans still exists. This should’ve been part of every history book used in public schools, and reviewed and discussed. The book is well written and doesn’t gloss over the white man’s cruelty. Can’t wait for the movie.

Historia
It's Labor Day in Blewestown, Alaska, and it seems most of the town's 3,500 residents have turned out to celebrate - or to cause trouble. Not Liam Campbell, though. He's checking out the local watering hole in his new town. He's finally made it out of Newenham and is ready for a quiet life with his wife. He's been in town for about a week when an archaeologist invites him out to his dig site outside of town. He's on the verge of a momentous discovery, one he says will be worth the state trooper's time.

Cliffhanger
Revisado: 04-28-23
I only hope the ending of this book indicates there will be a book 6. I read some of the other reviews, and while I don’t think this was Dana’s strongest effort, I totally was immersed, loved the characters, and enjoyed it, even the 2nd time around. Love Marguerite Gavin!,,

Historia
The year 1996 was the one that changed everything for Maggie Dawes. Sent away at 16 to live with an aunt she barely knew in Ocracoke, a remote village on North Carolina’s Outer Banks, she could think only of the friends and family she left behind...until she met Bryce Trickett, one of the few teenagers on the island. Handsome, genuine, and newly admitted to West Point, Bryce showed her how much there was to love about the wind-swept beach town - and introduced her to photography, a passion that would define the rest of her life. By 2019, Maggie is a renowned travel photographer.

A Beautiful, Memorable Christmas Story
Revisado: 11-27-22
I have not read all of the Nicholas Sparks books, but remember those I have read with fondness. This story is such a pure love story full of twists and turns which leads the reader’s heart through the miracles of the Christmas season. The characters are people that I would love to meet and share life’s ups and downs. This is a worthy read.

Sea of Memories worthy of a read.
Revisado: 04-06-20
I love Fiona Valpy books. I have listened to many on Audible and have been swept away to a different time and place. This was book was almost painful to listen to... not because of the story.... but Ms. Wilds’ performance was like fingernails on a chalkboard. While she had a wonderful lilty accent in dialogue, the narration was horrible. I will be sure to not choose a book with her again. Her voice stayed on one level and did not go down at the end of the sentence... It was like listening to a series of questions. I finally had to revert to the Kindle copy to finish the book. Thanks Fiona for the story.

So very disappointing
Revisado: 08-14-19
I have been a a Debbie Macomber fan forever, however this book was a waste of an audible credit. The story was so unbelievably predictable, and the language was simplistic and without much merit. These 2 ladies are so socially inept, I don’t know how they maintained jobs and raised families. Who doesn’t know you don’t wear a dress to a football game, or whose college daughter whines about her closet being used.... really? All the characters have less depth than a children’s book. I’m so very disappointed....

Titus Welliver IS Harry Bosch
Revisado: 11-06-17
Another fantastic read from Michael Connelly! Harry, in undercover, had me sitting on the edge of my car seat.... probably not a safe way to drive🙄... Connelly is one of my favorites at the twists and turns of cases and bringing Mickey in always adds another level of interest! Titus actually “sounds” like Matthew McConaughy in the text of Mickey Haller..... Another win for me!!

Historia
In 1918, after four harrowing years on the Western Front, Tom Sherbourne returns to Australia to take a job as the lighthouse keeper on remote Janus Rock. To this isolated island, where the supply boat comes only four times a year and shore leaves are granted every other year at best, Tom brings a young, bold, and loving wife, Isabel. Three years later, after two miscarriages and one stillbirth, the grieving Isabel is tending the grave of her newly lost infant when she hears a baby’s cries on the wind. A boat has washed up on shore carrying a dead man and a living baby.
