Sucked like Dave’s mom…that’s a good thing

The stories contained within this anthology were not only funny, but very well written and a returned to what made them great in the earlier volumes. While there was some toilet humor, it was toned down and jokes about Dave’s mom were plentiful and rarely repeated from story to story.

Probably the best written stories to date and as always the narration was superb. Shoutout to Sleep!

This story was absolutely amazing and the narrator, Tim Haire, absolutely killed it. Great voice work to go with an exceptional story!

Christopher Dowell is now the bar in Short Fiction

Story: The story itself is beautifully written in both a technical and narrative sense. I found myself hanging on every word of every chapter and listened to the story in a single sitting. Not only was it interesting, the story is so good that it made me paranoid as it delved deeper into maddening mind of the main character, Tia. I will be listening to this again.

Narrator: This is my first experience with Clare Radix but I can say with confidence that it will not be my last. Her pace is slower but her tone, pitch, and ability to emote and drive each characters emotions home through her narration is an absolute wonder to behold.

Overall: This story made me nervous to walk into the bathroom because the light was off and I’m not checking my messages the rest of the day. I highly recommend this book.

O’Hanlon gives us what we need again...

The story feels like the classic baby sitter vs slasher trope, but in the best way possible. The story leads you to believe that you KNOW who the killer is, throws you for a loop, and then drop kicks you in the mouth with another reveal. I never knew what to expect in this story which made the horror aspect so much sweeter.

Couto is a good narrator and I’m a fan of his podcast Weekly Spooky so it was cool to hear him narrate this story. He’s clear, perfect volume, and while I wish he would inflect characters emotions a little more, he STILL is an amazing narrator.

I would recommend this audiobook to any and everyone who has even the slightest interest in the slasher genre!

I’ve lived in a small town my entire life, and the fact is that I truly believe we would also be days away from child soldiers and despotic city officials if suddenly cut off. This book is great.

Delightfully Disturbing

This book is crude. Like, very much so. That said, if you’re into inappropriate body humor this book is great! Badass Mike and Billy Bitchcakes are going to be in my mind for a long time. Hope we get a sequel.

Good; Not Great

In the grande scheme of things, the story goes along the lines you’d expect it to. That’s part of the issue. I feel less and less emotionally invested in the story than I did in 1-4. 5-6 were still pretty good, but now I’m keeping up with several storylines.

It’s still full of all the humor and vulgarity we’ve come to know and love but the story isn’t as intriguing. I’m ready for everyone to just accept their fate and read about people from earthing making their life in a fantasy world.

Sleep, the narrator, once again hit it OUT OF THE PARK. The dude is amazing. I look forward to CF 8!

I literally peed...

I laughed so hard that I narrowly missed a chance to get to a toilet. Jonathan Sleep, the narrator, killed it again. He is the greatest narrator I've ever had the pleasure of listening too. Robert Bevan failed to disappoint with this latest set of short stories. Disappointing fans is the only thing he ever fails at. I can't wait for the next one.

Classic Story with a Fresh Voice

Pet Sematary will always be a classic in the long bibliography of Stephen King's work. It was an amazing story. However, most of us already know that so the important part of this review is the narrator.

Michael C Hall was a beast. He devoured every syllable of this book with the express purpose of shitting awards and money all over the place. he was brilliant and made the retelling of this story worth the money!
