I had to think about this review for a few days

This book left me thinking and not sure what I felt about it after I finished it. After some time, I realized I really like it. Specifically because you have to think about it, you have to make your own value judgments (in some complicated, morally grey areas), you have to slowly put the pieces together along with the protagonist - interestingly enough, this is why I initially felt unsure! One of the characters' stories just didn't *sound* realistic and seemed drummed up.

I initially was annoyed with the way the author wrote this "interview", thinking it was a poor attempt at telling the story....

Oh, how wrong I was ;)

The writing is so good, you get exactly that feeling right along with the protagonist. And then. Put your big girl panties on because sh*t's about to get real.

It starts off a bit blurry and a little difficult to grasp but there's a reason for this ;) Stick with it. You'll see.

I can't wait to get the next book in this series! The writing is fantastic, the characters are well fleshed out, and the narrator does them all justice.

All around, I highly recommend you give this one a listen.

Audio Drama, not audio book!

Homefront is wonderful. "Trust the Awesomeness." Some devout listeners didn't find the audio drama likeable but I feel that's due to differences between books and audio dramas. The performances and story were fantastic! I highly recommend this one! Go in with an open mind, grab some popcorn, and enjoy the ride. Cheers!

if you can tolerate a mediocre narrator, this series is absolutely worth it! I read a lot and this is my favorite ZA series so far. I just wish the narration matched.

TGR does a fantastic job (as usual) narrating this wonderful series. I can't love this book and Child of a Mad God anymore than already do

Great story, great narration. Definitely recommend. The negative reviews are incorrect. Branching out to multiple stories that weave together was a fantastic stylistic choice. Bray gives each character great voice and personality.

excellent 2nd book

I've seen other reviews knock this sequel but it's just as good and just as well written as the first. And, of course, RC Bray does not disappoint. I thoroughly enjoyed this journey and am looking forward to the next!

Great voicing with great writing

I loved all 3 books. The story and writing is very good. Garelick voices each character very well, her cadence and enunciation are great. I was, all around, very sad when the books came to an end.

TGR is wonderful, as usual

The female narrator.. not so much. The gems in Lyria's chapters are good enough to warrant listening to the narration anyways but, just prepare yourself beforehand for her. Lysander's narrator rushes a bit and seems a bit too aloof but he isn't bad. I really enjoy Ephraim's chapters because of Vulga and how her character is narrated. She really comes to life and is fully mentally tangible.

Narration aside, this book is fantastic! I'd been wondering about the exact ramifications this book addresses in an honest, realistic way. Sprinkle in some awesome characters and adventures? And you get a mature, wonderful flavor.
