This has been one of my favorite sci-fi series. I have to say that it was a very exciting book , but if this is truly the ending of the series, I am BUMMED.

It feels like this was the literary equivalent to painting yourself into a corner, and there was just no other way to finish off the series.

I hope there's another one planned! but please don't have him wake up from a dream with everything from the last books being what it was composed of...

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:

All the weight I have lost has been purely through diet. I made it a point to NOT exercise short of the moderate activity my job entails 1 to 2 days a week. I did this to see if the process TRULY works.

I have followed these instructions and started on March 30th 2022.

My starting weight was 235 lb and at the time of this review I currently weigh 187 lb and my goal is 180lbs.

-I restricted my calories to 950 instead of the 800
-I'm intermittent fasting 18–6
-Fasting a full 24hrs once every other week (or as needed)

Additional tools I've used in tandem with the book:

-Free online Resting Metabolic Rate Calculator (to figure how many calories I burn everyday with no exertion and my caloric deficit is everyday)

-Glucose/Ketone meter: By Keto Mojo ($45)

-MyFitnesspal App for food tracking (FREE)




Best pieces of advice I recommend to someone considering embarking on the journey..

Track your weight using a scale (and log it via MyFitnesspal)

BUY the Blood/Glucose Meter because it is PROOF that your diet is working and it will help you weed out the foods that maybe "Keto Friendly" but is detrimental to YOU specifically.

LOG EVERYTHING at least for the first 4-6 weeks. It's a real lesson in what foods are heavy in calories (some WILL surprise you)

-YES I have fallen pray to the munchies and got "Snacky" a few times but you'll quickly learn that it's easy with a good fast to get right back on track within a day or 2.

Good luck! it's possible even fun once you get some traction with this plan!

I personally loved this series. Only reason it didn't get 5 out of 5 in the review is that the story moving along very quickly and I personally am a fan of more nitty gritty details.

I still recommend the series, the fact this was included with my membership made me really happy. and now I'm off to purchase the next book!

I was skeptical but as a Scifi/Fantasy fan this book delivered wonderfully. I look foward to future titles in this series!
