Historia
COVID-19 was used to launch the worst tyranny in American history, which we’re still facing even now. It was also the worst oppression in global history since the Third Reich. Just as that evil required a reckoning at Nuremberg, this one does as well. In this Nuremberg 2.0, we call witnesses that our elected representatives and law enforcement agents need to hear from in order to know the full extent of the evil and who is responsible for it—so that this never happens again.

Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

Didn’t see that coming
Revisado: 09-09-22
Well written, excellent performance spellbinding. Being a land lover from the Midwest I wasn’t sure I would easily relate to this book. I was quickly drawn into the characters and plot lines. So many life truths and lessons through this book. The struggle between the need to be loved and the need to protect one’s self comes through very realistically.

Performance leaves a lot to be desired.
Revisado: 07-12-21
Too bad the reader didn’t listen to previous recordings in this series. None of the accents, especially Jake Grafton’s matched previous books. I thought Jake was from the mid west but this reader gave him a gruff southern drawl. Voices were not consistent throughout the book and made for some confusion.

Historia
When Marshall McEwan left his hometown at age 18, he vowed never to return. The trauma that drove him away ultimately spurred him to become one of the most successful journalists in Washington DC. But just as the political chaos in the nation’s capital lifts him to new heights, Marshall is forced to return home in spite of his boyhood vow. His father is dying, his mother is struggling to keep the family newspaper from failing, and the town is in the midst of an economic rebirth that might be built upon crimes that reach into the state capitol - and perhaps even to Washington.

Disgusting!
Revisado: 04-21-20
I should have known given the main character is a “journalist” member of the fake news and lacks moral character. The author attempts to revise history implying republicans were the KKK, the enemy of blacks and are fascist. Capitalism is the root of all evil. Trump and republicans have sold their soul and Congressional seats to the Chinese. Oh and Russia too! The intellectual dishonesty is overwhelming.
Maybe Iles should try to write an honest book about what the FBI and Obama administration tried to do to Trump, his campaign and presidency.
Should have believed the reviews. It really is as bad as they say it is!
This is the last Greg Iles book I will buy or ever read.

POINTLESS
Revisado: 02-05-13
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
This book was a huge disappointment. The story line is immature and disgusting! I have no clue what all the hipe is about for these books.
What was most disappointing about E. L. James’s story?
There really is no story. It just takes you from one poorly written sadistic sex scene to another.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
Refused to perform such a poorly written book.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Embarrassing; I'm embarrassed to have anyone know I read this series.
Any additional comments?
The marketing agent for this book must be a genius! Definitely not sold on content or literary excellence!

Aware both of the excitement and uncertainty generated by The Shack, theologian Randal Rauser takes the reader on a fascinating journey through the pages of the story. In successive chapters he explores many of the books complex and controversial issues. Through these chapters Rauser offers an honest and illuminating discussion which opens up a new depth to the conversation while providing the reader with new opportunities for Finding God in The Shack.

Theology 101 relative to The Shack
Revisado: 05-31-12
Is there anything you would change about this book?
Way too long.
Which character – as performed by Roger Mueller – was your favorite?
There are no characters. It is a commentary
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Not movie material.
Any additional comments?
This is a theological review of 'The Shack'. I found it somewhat informative and very tedious. It is like the NBC commentary after a political speech telling you what you should really think/believe about the speech you just listened to. It seems that 'The Shack' is a book that is best left between you and God. To pray and meditate over for the edification of Christ in your own heart. This book is preachy and de-personalized 'The Shack' for me. It is not clear to me why the author felt the need to write 'Finding God in the Shack'.

Against his better judgment he arrives at the shack on a wintry afternoon and walks back into his darkest nightmare.

Life changing!
Revisado: 05-29-12
If you could sum up The Shack in three words, what would they be?
Challenging (in a good way), Life-changing (like Love), Inspiring (like I CAN do this!)
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Shack?
The garden at the shack, grown over with weeds without order then later finding out what the garden symbolized.
What does Roger Mueller bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He performs this book like an old friend relaying an important life event to you. His reading of the book is very personal and makes the story very real.
Any additional comments?
I want to read this book again and have recommended it to all of my children and friends.

a book in the slow lane
Revisado: 08-23-11
The plot is elementary and predictable, very simplistic with no depth or intrique. The fist book in the series was much more interesting which made this one disappointing. Too bad the author did not involve more of the characters we met in the first book.

What a let down!
Revisado: 10-14-10
Wondering how this book gets 3.5 stars in overall ratings. Having Amish ancestors myself, it is unrealistic in so many ways. It is a puzzle that never quite comes together. Sloppy in the police work, character development and accuracy. About twice as long as it needed to be and still didn't get to a satisfactory conclusion. The reader is dull and slow. I put the ipod on 2x for most of the book to get it over with. I enjoyed Castillo's first book and should have left it at that.
