Historia
Sam and Sadie—two college friends, often in love, but never lovers—become creative partners in a dazzling and intricately imagined world of video game design, where success brings them fame, joy, tragedy, duplicity, and, ultimately, a kind of immortality. It is a love story, but not one you have heard before.

Boring!
Revisado: 02-02-24
This book was predictable and just overall “meh.” I don’t understand the hype with this one.

Historia
Marie-Laure lives with her father in Paris near the Museum of Natural History, where he works as the master of its thousands of locks. When she is six, Marie-Laure goes blind and her father builds a perfect miniature of their neighborhood so she can memorize it by touch and navigate her way home. When she is 12, the Nazis occupy Paris and father and daughter flee to the walled citadel of Saint-Malo, where Marie-Laure’s reclusive great-uncle lives in a tall house by the sea. With them they carry what might be the museum’s most valuable and dangerous jewel.

Loved it
Revisado: 12-13-23
I purchased this book after seeing an ad for the new show on Netflix. I always love to read the book prior to watching the film adaptation. The story was fantastic and the reader was great. Now it’s time to watch the show!

The author paints such a vivid picture with his words. This book needs to become a movie! I loved it.

Historia
Cal Hooper thought a fixer-upper in a bucolic Irish village would be the perfect escape. After 25 years in the Chicago police force and a bruising divorce, he just wants to build a new life in a pretty spot with a good pub where nothing much happens. But when a local kid whose brother has gone missing arm-twists him into investigating, Cal uncovers layers of darkness beneath his picturesque retreat, and starts to realize that even small towns shelter dangerous secrets.

Meh
Revisado: 05-27-22
Based on the first few chapters, I was thinking this would be a suspenseful story. Instead it was boring and pointless. The reader did an excellent job, though.
