Historia
Before he was the Gray Man, Court Gentry was Sierra Six, the junior member of a CIA action team. In their first mission, they took out a terrorist leader, at a terrible price. Years have passed. The Gray Man is on a simple mission when he sees a ghost: the long-dead terrorist, but he's remarkably energetic for a dead man. A decade of time hasn't changed the Gray Man. He isn't one to leave a job unfinished or a blood debt unpaid.

Wasn't sure when I started it, but quickly became engrossed. Cort Gentry is one of my favorites and this book didn't disappoint. It also was a treat getting some history on his origin. Well done, sir, well done.

While I'm not a fan of "impossible" mission successes, this one shines as believable and possible while still holding you in a tense grip.

With nothing to lose, Nate climbs back inside, confronts the robbers, and with his military training, starts taking them out, one by one. Another hit for Hurwitz

Although the story dragged at times, I found myself unable to stop listening. Scott Brick did his usually awesome job of portraying the characters' feelings. Too bad there can't be a sequel but perhaps a prequel? Still a fan, Gregg.

Historia
Lawyer Andy Carpenter's true passion is the Tara Foundation, the dog rescue organization he runs with his friend Willie Miller. All kinds of dogs make their way to the foundation, and it isn't that surprising to find a dog abandoned at the shelter one morning, though it was accompanied by a mysterious anonymous note. But they are quite surprised when they scan the dog's embedded chip, and discover that they know this dog. He is the "DNA dog".

Historia
Amos Decker witnesses a murder just outside FBI headquarters. A man shoots a woman execution style on a crowded sidewalk, then turns the gun on himself. Even with Decker's extraordinary powers of observation and deduction, the killing is baffling. Decker and his team can find absolutely no connection between the shooter - a family man with a successful consulting business - and his victim, a schoolteacher. Nor is there a hint of any possible motive for the attack.

The story was decent but the narration was almost not worth it. I felt at times that Hemingway was reading the story. There was little natural flow in the presentation. Otherwise, enjoyable.

Historia
Defense lawyer Andy Carpenter usually tries to avoid taking on new cases at all costs. But this time, he's happy - eager, even - to take the case that's just come his way. Andy's long-time friend Martha "Pups" Boyer takes in stray puppies that the local dog rescue center can't handle, raises them until they're old enough to adopt, and then finds good homes for them. Not everyone admires the work Pups does as much as Andy does, however.

Not his best work
Revisado: 10-24-16
I really enjoy the Andy Carpenter series. However, this particular book was not the best that Rosenthal has ever written. I particularly enjoyed certain parts of it, including the reference to himself as an author, however the overall storyline was not as good as what I have come to expect from a writer of his caliber. Overall, I still believe it is a book worth reading, just don't expect much more than a feel good story.
