This book was an easy listen. Author Vance Pitman spoke with conviction and turned some of my legalistic notions on their head. I know I’ll be back to listen again. 40 years of thinking doesn’t get reversed in a week.

Classic examples of twisting scripture. Randy Clark speaks out of both sides of his mouth on issues like Sola Scriptura, the gifts of the spirit, and the divinity of Christ. Without sufficient study of the Word of God, the arguments and articulation within this book could deceive, if possible, even the elect. It should be given a new title, though, because it’s not essential, it’s not about the Holy Spirit, and it’s not a guide for Christians. It’s just an articulate and insufficient defense of the twisted Scriptures he uses, mostly opinion.

What a God-send is the sacrificial sharing of this story, and the timing couldn’t be better for us, having recently had our church family torn apart by a split due to the subterfuge of this heresy and it’s affect on our gullible young pastor and his wife. I can take a deep breath. God’s got this, too!
