great fan of George Newbern narrations (man called ove). The book was well done except sometimes the characters were a little too competent.

Would you listen to Breaking Wild again? Why?

yes, it is a good story; narrated in an engaging way. I felt as if I learned something about being stranded in the wild. It was all believable.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes, Amy Ray was lost in the woods and I wondered if they would find her. I kept wondering how she could survive such an ordeal

What about Therese Plummer and Saskia Maarleveld ’s performance did you like?

They just read it as if they were the person in the story. NO, they WERE the people in the story

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I just finished a two hour hike and listened to it and was so engrossed in the book that I felt as if I had just began the hike instead of ending the hike. I almost wanted to keep hiking so that I could finish the book.

Any additional comments?

I want the author to write another book and I want the two women to read it.

Would you listen to The Wild Inside again? Why?

Yes, I would listen again in a few years when I have forgotten much of the book. I was so engrossed in the book that I would have to backtrack if I missed any of the dialog.

What other book might you compare The Wild Inside to and why?

The book is a procedural story about solving a murder. No superhero stuff, just working through the process. I compare it to the Paul Doiron, Mike Bowditch series about a Maine Game Warden.

Which character – as performed by R. C. Bray – was your favorite?

The lead character, Ted and his 'partner' Monty. Glacier National Park and the area around towns around Glacier.

Any additional comments?

I am looking forward to Ms Carbo's next book. The only semi-criticism is that I wanted to know what happened to the characters after the mystery was solved. This is more a reflection of how good she told the story and how involved that I became.
