Historia
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

Great Story...
Revisado: 08-02-23
Story was great, narration left alot to be desired. Since the narration was "fixed" before I purchased the audiobook, I didn't experience the congested/sick narration mentioned. But the narration was awkward, almost as if the cadence was off.
My biggest complaint is that there were long pauses between sentences, many long enough I had to look and see if it got accidentally paused some how. Speeding up the narration (which I have never done in the 780+ audiobooks I have finished) to 1.15 helped enough to get me through the story, but even then some pauses seemed exceptionally long. It was incredibly distracting and irritating.
The story itself is good enough to deal with the previously mentioned issues though. As mentioned in another review, the story really picks up after chapter 11. I am really looking forward to the second book.

Historia
Jin Rou wanted to be a cultivator. A man powerful enough to defy the heavens. A master of martial arts. A lord of spiritual power. Unfortunately for him, he died, and now I’m stuck in his body. Arrogant Masters? Heavenly Tribulations? All that violence and bloodshed? Yeah, no thanks. I’m getting out of here. Farm life sounds pretty great. Tilling a field by hand is fun when you’ve got the strength of ten men—though maybe I shouldn’t have fed those Spirit Herbs to my pet rooster.

Like a Breath of Fresh Air

Loved it! Nice change from the typical Xianxia Cultivation type story. Voices and pokes fun at some of the typical tropes that this genre of story suffers from. 10/10 will recommend!

Historia
Though it's hardly been a few weeks since he found Fiona the beautiful snake girl and Jezzy the seductive succubus and learned of their plan to fix up an old inn to try and help bridge the gap between the various races, it feels like months have passed. And now he finds himself in a loving and intensely intimate relationship with both women.

Meh.. it's ok.
Revisado: 02-24-23
Writing was ok, about what you would expect from this genre. The narration was middling, but the mixing for narration was horrible. I almost couldn't finish it because of it. The female narration was MUCH louder than the male narration for large parts of the book. There are parts of the book that if you turn up the volume to hear the male narration, anytime there's female narration it about gives you a headache it's so loud.
If it were not for the volume mixing, this book would be just ok. But because of it, I cannot recommend this book to anyone. This will probably be the last book in this series I listen to, but only time will tell.

It was "Okay"...
Revisado: 09-28-22
It was okay. Not great, not bad, just okay. The book felt more like a filler before the 10th Realm book. I'm not disappointed that I listened to it and it does have some critical information and events in it that needed to take place before the last realm. But with that being said, this book doesn't have the same "pizazz" that the others do. I am looking forward to the last book though!

Historia
Doc was happy with his new life—he’d married Fiala and Sonya, had allies who were steadfastly beside him, and was building the name of Lady Luck. Things were moving in the right direction, and life was good. But powerful enemies were starting to rise against him. Doc knew that Sheriff Grange and McIan, the preacher of Apoc, would be problems eventually, but the two he had to deal with first were Suez and Goodman. Suez was still a mystery to Doc, and the man had effectively split the town with Goodman.

Awesome as usual!
Revisado: 07-15-22
Awesome continuance to the series. Cleans up some of the hanging plot lines and progresses the story nicely. Though I am hoping that in the next book we get to see a little more of the world... Can't wait for the next one!

Starts off kinda meh.... Ends on a high note!
Revisado: 12-31-18
After listening to the first few chapters of this book I was skeptical if I would enjoy it. It starts off monotone and what only I can describe as flat. I was thinking that this would be the first book I have ever returned. But I decided to stick it out for a few more chapters to give it a chance. Next thing I knew, I was half way through! Somewhere after the first handful of chapters or so, the narrator really seems to find his groove.
The story is an interesting one and I find myself pondering it in my free time.
