Nothing else like it

This book doesn’t fit neatly into any one genre, but don’t let that discourage you. There’s lots of action, humor, and history (yes, history) and the reading is fantastic! I think this series offers something to just about any reader, without being conventional in any way. I’m so glad I gave it a try, and I recommend you do, too.

A show business memoir as sweet as the movie they

If you like memoirs from the silver screen, or love the Princess Bride, listen to this.
The affection of the cast and crew for each other and the movie they made is apparent throughout. Although Cary Elwes is the titular author, the rest of the team chime in, most providing their voices as well as their commentary. I will listen to this again, and I can't wait to re watch the movie now...

Marie Brennan delivers another volume of adventure, which Kate Reading brings to life.
If you enjoy dragons, period adventures, or witty memoirs (like Richard Feynman's), this is a series to try. This volume, set on a journey around the globe, feels a little more rushed than the previous two books, but was still really enjoyable.

The author's excellent writing and the narrator's perfect characterization combine to create the experience of listening to the adventures of a dragon-mad lady naturalist in person. The story blends dragons and realism so deftly. If you like: memoirs by intelligent, witty characters, turn of the century adventure stories, or the idea of dragons as an integral part of the natural world, give this series a try.
