Couldn't get past the first hour

It may be good to read (you can skip over long descriptions) but on audio, it was painful. Way too much character building to the point that I did not care as there was no story. Sorry Agatha, you are the past

smells like a cult

very common theme to suck you into their evil cult. eckankar is a cult and believe their leader is god. the stories are a lure to the meditations, which they later take credit for any experience you have ( insight, visualization, sense of well being).

Felt like half a story

it felt like Robert J. Sawyer decided to do half a story and charge for a full one. It was very short, what was there was good, but I felt kind of let down with the brevity of the story. It didn't have time to turn into something more interesting

painfully boring

I only listened to this book as it was recommended from a friend. If you're into a book that gives copious descriptions of everything under the sun, you may like this book. if you're looking for an interesting story, stop and find something else. It was not as good as great literature, and as science fiction, it was derivative and failed miserably.

summation: I really hated it. It had nothing I like in a book, which is a good story, and something that surprises me.

Disappointment from this author

This was more a day in the life of a survivalist camp versus a science-fiction book. Basically, just not interesting. It really felt short from the interesting storytelling of the first book in the series as well as the Bobiverse series. I guess every author has a stinker once in a while.

Weak dialogue in a story

At times I thought a 13-year-old boy got a hold of his parents computer. the over usage of characters puking and crapping their pants got old really quick.

Call the story concept had potential but the story development was one dimensional and an interesting.

my least favorite "like an elephant raping a lion", that is just a sample of the juvenile dialogue that detracks from the already one dimensional plot.

Underdeveloped characters

I’m not sure if it’s the narrator or my experience with the authors other books. When I hear Ray Porter, I hear the voice of Bob from the Bobiverse books. I don’t think it’s a good idea to use the same narrator across different series. The female character also sounded exactly like the female characters in the Bob books. It took me a while to get into the story due to this. In addition the characters were not believable as late teenagers. Maybe it was the narrator or the characters were underdeveloped as they sounded like people in their 40s, not teenagers. The story was decent, I enjoyed it, While the author has some great story ideas, he needs to develop more believable characters.

Life-saving information but bloated

This book could’ve been short by 75%. Summarize if you don’t wanna die of diabetes don’t take insulin. Instead do a fasting regiment which is the only thing that has shown to actually reverse diabetes.

Nothing to keep your attention

I seriously question any good review as this book was pretty horrible. I loved his magic 2.0 series, but in this story I kept waiting for an actual story. It was drab, uninteresting and literally had nothing to keep my attention. when I was done I wished I had stopped at the first two hours.
