My nostalgia for the characters in the book may skew my bias but this was a really fun listen. Not to deep, just enough biography and a tale that keeps you engaged wanting for more. The actors portraying the characters were excellent.

What can I say, take a deep dive into the inner workings of a folk icon. A wonderful short telling of what makes one of our greatest folk singers exactly who he is. In his own words and own voice. I truly enjoyed it.

This is not only well written but the narrator brings the story to life in a very well spoken manner. Historically, we need to ensure that these biographical tales get shared over and over again so that we don't repeat the past. Thank you to the author, narrator and Audible for keeping history alive.

Mike Continues to keep us on our toes.

Mike Rowe takes you on twisted tails that have you believing you know how it is going to end but then it zigs at the last moment revealing it is somewhat different then you expected. While doing so we learn so much more about him. Fans of his podcast may have heard some of the tales but this takes a deeper dive and offers so much more.

Andy does a great job weaving fiction and non-fiction into a parable to help remind us about the important things in life. I have used his writing to help guide my children as well as keep me on the right path. This is another wonderfully written tale with all the right elements to keep us thinking.

A wonderful inspirational recollection.

This was one of my favorite books about the Appalachian Trail. You feel as if you are on the journey and wish it would never stop. It's a first person journey that takes you from the why to the why not. As a trail book it does a great job taking you from Springer to Katahdin. Inspiring in so many ways to get out there and live the adventure as well as serve others whenever you can.
