Historia
Some people are born in darkness. Some have darkness thrust upon them. Me? I was the darkness. Forged in the flames of my stepfather’s hatred, I learned from an early age that life was cruel, harsh, and unforgiving. This life would destroy you unless you stood up for yourself, took control, and fought back. I was always a fighter, but my soul remained charred from the fires that consumed me. My heart is an empty cavern filled with echoes of a life I’d never live. I'm branded with a vengeance that drove me to do for others what no one had ever done for me.

Don’t Waste Your Credit
Revisado: 02-26-25
I listened to The Psycho, and the storyline was SO boring and so immature. I read reviews about The Reaper being better, and it is, but only slightly. Literally the same base story as The Psycho: Immature, possessive, and violent man wins the equally immature female, they fall in love in 2 days, both story’s the characters find out they have an u known history, and then someone from the soldiers past comes and threatens them. The End. And the entire story is of the two main characters droning on and on and on about their deep love for one another and cliche words of wisdom from a teenager. Don’t waste your credit.

Historia
There are three things that are certain in this life: death, taxes, and the fact that if I want something, I will get it...no matter what it takes. From the moment I laid eyes on Olivia Cooper, I knew she was mine. She didn’t agree, but I wasn’t going to let that stop me. She was all I thought about. She was my obsession. So, I watched. I studied. I toyed with her and I played my games. In her I’d found my perfect match, because she met every single one of my challenges with one of her own. She fought back and I loved it.

Mehhhh
Revisado: 02-23-25
Shane East is my favorite narrator. Female narration was good too, except when she did the male voice - just didn’t align and the voice sounded like a pompous douchebag and nothing like the character Shane East was capturing. The story was out of whack too. Like a bunch of insecure teenagers running around killing people. The one liners were very cliche. If I have to keep stopping and starting a book read by Shane East, thats pretty bad.

Historia
To survive the notorious prison IK-2 and assassinate Russian President Vladimir Petrov, John Dempsey had to become rosomakha, the wolverine. Now, back home in America, he’s trying to put the pieces of his life at Ember back together. But which man returned from Russia—Dempsey, or the wolverine? From the way his teammates look at him, it’s obvious they’re not sure, and neither is he. Meanwhile, Vice President Kelso Jarvis has barely had time to mourn the death of his mentor before a devastating attack reveals a new threat.

GREAT but entire story felt like a cliffhanger
Revisado: 07-21-24
I love this series. Great writing and the BEST narration, but this entire story felt like one big cliffhanger...a story of questions without answers, which niggled once you got close to the end and frustrated by the lack of any answers and that you will have to wait another year to hear them.
The book felt like 13+ hours of a setup for the next book. And there really wasn't much depth to the storyline? As another reviewer wrote. John Dempsey still at odds with his team in a way, doesn't resolve anything with Mun, and ONE BIG CLIFFHANGER. Again, I love this series and the story was entertaining as always, but that feeling of waiting do answers is how you feel through the entire book and that's the feeling you are left with once you finish.

Historia
Just my luck - my new next door neighbor is a unicorn. Yep, the British hottie is clearly a mythical man because - get this - he's a sexy, witty, charming, big-hearted single dad. Who, wait for it, wants to find Mrs. Right and get hitched. He’s a once-in-a-blue-moon kind of man, and it’s a darn shame I’m not on the market. If I were, his accent alone would melt me. Add in the fact that he's a veterinarian, and my animal-loving heart would be flip flopping.

Horrible & Shallow Story Line
Revisado: 03-19-24
There's zero meat and potatoes to this story line. No real substance. If you had a high school teenage girl dream up her perfect man to marry, that's who this adult male character is. Only listened since it was free. Do not recommend
