Sigler does it again!
Revisado: 02-20-21
Before the GFL I was only a passing football fan and then the GFL came into my life at the same time as I started hanging out more with my football loving best friend. Through the combination of friendship and Scott's imagination I am now a die-hard football fan who roots for Scott's "God Damn" Detroit Lions -- even when we lose all the time.
I have been eagerly awaiting the release of "The Gangster" for years after the release of my favorite book "The Champion" filled my soul. The Gangster was everything I wanted and more. I am a person who loves a good story with deep characterization and Scott has this in spades! Add to the fact that he, A and The Iceberg give us an amazing audible experience in the audio narration, the story comes to life even more. Fantastic story, Scott, and fantastic narration, too.
NOW GIVE ME GFL BOOK VII, POST HASTE!

Excellent thriller with intriguing plot
Revisado: 11-15-18
Stephen King eat your heart out! Nocturnal is a fantastic listen full of all the gory things you'd want in a sci-fi/horror book. The main character is a very flawed but honorable person trying to get through life while the creepy crawlies murder and pillage in the secret bowels of the San Francisco bay.
Nocturnal also has some of the greatest characters you'll find in sci-fi. Pookie and certain man called Mister will become some of your favorite characters.
Phil Gigante is also a great narrator. Definitely worth a listen.

Revisado: 06-17-17
I loved this book from start to finish. It was my entrance into Scott's work back in 2005 when podcasted and now the re-written and super polished Siglerverse version improves on everything. I have so many questions now after listening to this. Here's hoping Scott will fill in those answers in future books. Bring em' on!

Historia
Nearly 100 years before the events of Orson Scott Card's bestselling novel Ender's Game, humans were just beginning to step off Earth and out into the Solar System. A thin web of ships in both asteroid belts; a few stations; a corporate settlement on Luna. No one had seen any sign of other space-faring races; everyone expected that First Contact, if it came, would happen in the future, in the empty reaches between the stars. Then a young navigator on a distant mining ship saw something moving too fast, heading directly for our sun.

Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes, I've listened to Stefan Rudnicki multiple times and the others in the other books in the trilogy. These performances are on par with their other performances.

Historia
One hundred years before Ender's Game, the aliens arrived on Earth with fire and death. Earth Afire by Orson Scott Card and Aaron Johnston is the story of the First Formic War. Victor Delgado beat the alien ship to Earth, but just barely. Not soon enough to convince skeptical governments that there was a threat. They didn't believe that until space stations and ships and colonies went up in sudden flame. And when that happened, only Mazer Rackham and the Mobile Operations Police could move fast enough to meet the threat.

alaxy. Humanity was slowly making their way out from Earth to the planets and asteroids of the Solar System, exploring and mining and founding colonies. The mining ship El Cavador is far out from Earth, in the deeps of the Kuiper Belt, beyond Pluto. Other mining ships, and the families that live on them, are few and far between this far out. So when El Cavador's telescopes pick up a fast-moving object coming in-system, it's hard to know what to make of it. It's massive and moving at a significant fraction of the speed of light.
