Historia
When she was suddenly given the opportunity of a new life in rural Jutland, journalist and archetypal Londoner Helen Russell discovered a startling statistic: the happiest place on earth isn't Disneyland but Denmark, a land often thought of by foreigners as consisting entirely of long, dark winters, cured herring, Lego and pastries. What is the secret to their success? Are happy Danes born or made?

Historia
It is commonly believed that the Great Depression that began in 1929 resulted from a confluence of events beyond any one person's or government's control. In fact, as Liaquat Ahamed reveals, it was the decisions made by a small number of central bankers that were the primary cause of the economic meltdown, the effects of which set the stage for World War II and reverberated for decades.

History, history, history

I think people should be looking back more in history. See how the word’s financial system has collapsed before. What triggered this and what was the sort of way out.

I wish I would have read this sooner.
I enjoyed listening to it. It has lots of profanity, just so you know. Also, it was funny how the narrator pronounced Linux.
Overall I recommend it for all enthusiasts!

Historia
If you cut off a spider's leg, it's crippled; if you cut off its head, it dies. But if you cut off a starfish's leg it grows a new one, and the old leg can grow into an entirely new starfish. The Starfish and the Spider argues that organizations fall into two categories: "spiders", which have a rigid hierarchy, and "starfish", which rely on the power of peer relationships.

a different point of view
Revisado: 03-23-15
The book brought up new points of view that I would not have though before. It is a very nice way to view how organization work and how people are able to form groups for a common goal without getting payed for it.
Maybe it is the answer how open source free software are so powerful.
