...here and there and while this concept could have been great, if built upon, this was probably the least favorite book I have ever read by Josh. The ending answers zero questions and is probably the worst, least thought out ending I have ever seen, that leaves nothing but unanswered questions. I'm not sure what has happened to Josh, other than possibly selling or cucking out. I'll not give another chance for redemption. You're better than this. Best of luck.

It wasn't my favorite, but...

I surely was glad to, finally, hit the road again with Gus. Not to present any spoilers, but I got a little teary eyed for how things ended up, in this one, for Gus. Much praise to Mr. Blackmore for, probably, some of my favorite characters of all time and that's saying a lot considering the many books I've read across the 48 years of my life. Keep it up and I'll be hungrily waiting for the next. R.C Bray? Always a stellar performance. Thank you, gentleman!

Not bad but

I found it generally linear and predictable. Not my favorite, by far, but riding with Gus and R. C. is always a good time. Highly enjoyable and lots of goodness to be found in this one but I guess I was just really hoping for the unexpected; like, for example, when Wallace first met Gus and/or when Gus realized that Shovel was his brother.. Either way, always a good time and always eager for a continuation! Bravo!

This book was just what the Dr. ordered and the narrator was fantastic. The perfect blending of fiction/non-fiction. Loved this book, Sam!

It was entertaining with Suzy doing a fantastic job with narration but, though it was well written, I found the content predictable, shallow, and obviously geared toward an immature audience..

There were parts that were ok, at best, and though Bray worked his magic as well as able, this conclusion was a meandering let down.. Very sad, considering the fact that the first 3 in the series were some of the most enjoyable reads that I've encountered. Did Gayou get the "big head" and break weak or what? Probably. Tighten it the f@ck up, Gayou. You're better than this..

Ok.. I started book one some time last week.. and just finished this one. Best books, narration, and story that I've found in a number of years and I go through a lot of books and different authors in a years time. Josh may have just become my favorite author. Thank you for a fantastic and extremely well thought out read, but, for the sake of accuracy and after having carried a M203/M4 throughout both Afghanistan and Iraq by choice; 40mm grenades will not arm and, therefore, explode within 25 meters. It's a safety mechanism intended to keep Joes from accidentally fragging themselves and any other friendlies within said range. I'm out and on to the next.. Can't wait 🤘

I liked the tie in..

I liked the tie in with The Dark Tower, as little as that universe was talked about and it did fill in more of the meat that seemed to be missing from the movie.. But, all in all, the story feels pretty shallow when considering the complex layers and depth to some of King's Novels. How long can King ramble on about "hunting the bitch" and playing hearts, you might ask? Heh.. I'll leave that for you to discover.. Not bad but definitely not as good as some of the other reviews may lead you to believe.. This was, in my opinion, Stephen hold the King.. Excellent performance, however, on the narration..
