Even Better Than Era 1
Revisado: 03-21-24
I put off reading this because I thought it would not compare with Era 1 Mistborn, but I was absolutely wrong. Era 2 is at least the equal of Era 1 and is in some ways superior. Both are excellent reads that I will absolutely read again along with nearly all of Branodn Sanderson's work.

Historia
The Bands of Mourning are the mythical metalminds owned by the Lord Ruler, said to grant anyone who wears them the powers that the Lord Ruler had at his command. Hardly anyone thinks they really exist. A kandra researcher has returned to Elendel with images that seem to depict the Bands as well as writings in a language that no one can read. Waxillium Ladrian is recruited to travel south to the city of New Seran to investigate.

Another winner
Revisado: 03-11-24
This series is quickly rising toward the top of my favorite from Sanderson. About on par with Stormlight Archive, but for different reasons. I highly recommend it despite being a hold out to it because I thought it could not compare to era 1 Mistborn, I was so wrong.

Historia
The world is no longer safe for the Dragon Rider Murtagh and his dragon, Thorn. An evil king has been toppled, and they are left to face the consequences of the reluctant role they played in his reign of terror. Now they are hated and alone, exiled to the outskirts of society. Throughout the land, hushed voices whisper of brittle ground and a faint scent of brimstone in the air—and Murtagh senses that something wicked lurks in the shadows of Alagaësia. So begins an epic journey into lands both familiar and untraveled.

Too slow.
Revisado: 02-06-24
I enjoyed the Inheritance Cycle, but this book is just too slow and too many times where one of the strongest people in Alegasia is out matched and out witted. It felt to much like a season of DBZ where another BBEG just gets thrown out there so that our formerly powerful protagonist is back to being nearly powerless AGAIN to put them back in crisis. There are so many ways this could have been done more subtly and without putting the character through essentially the same story arch that they have already been through.

An Excellent Series
Revisado: 12-21-23
A really solid fantasy series with pretty good diversity and representation, which was refreshing. Looking forward to the next book in this series and trying out his other series.

Sanderson rocking another series!
Revisado: 09-09-20
Sanderson rocks yet another excellent fantasy series with a unique magic system. If you have read and enjoyed the Stormlight Chronicles or War Breaker, as I have, then chances are you'll love this series too.

Love this book! The story is great and the 80's references are fantastic! It's practically a history of 80's pop culture in novel form.

Simple, yet addictive
Revisado: 10-26-18
Richard Fox does a great job with this series. The story line is pretty interesting and the detailed descriptions of battle sequences are really good. I look forward to the next book every time I finish the most recent one.
